A few notes about the squad: C-3P0 was added to get the coordinate effect out to the other ships, mostly Rey. He also helps Finn with his ability at the same time.

Let me know what you think about the squad. I am going to be testing a bit over the next few days, and I'll report back what I find.

I’ve been running this. It’s fun but Rey dies so quick if she’s caught. I like the idea of 3PO on Finn to coordinate but honestly he’s gonna want those double calculate to modify both offense and defense.

Resistance List #1

(68) Poe Dameron [T-70 X-wing]
(4) Heavy Laser Cannon

(2) Predator
(4) Advanced Optics
Points: 80

(29) Finn [Resistance Transport Pod]
(1) Heroic

Total points: 194

I ran something similar ... ish ... recently. If you're going to use 3PO might I suggest swapping Rose for PZ-4CO? Being able to coordinate to Rey from anywhere is amazingly potent.

Predator is primary attack only - if you're in the bullseye you're better off firing your cannon. I guess it covers the range 1 bullseye, but it feels a waste to take both upgrades.

Yeah it’s to cover all ranges. But I’ve been struggling a bit with Poe’s build. HLC, Optics, and Predator are all good upgrades but don’t really work together at all.

And it's a pretty expensive suite of stuff once you add it all together.

It's only one-use, but if you wanted a more useful range 1-2 "bullseye surprise" you could always slot proton rockets into the hardpoint instead. Getting a bullseye at range 3 is more luck than judgement anyway, and it's much less useful since bullseye-restricted effects tend to offer the range 3 defence bonus. Poe has a fair chance of getting a range 1-2 bullseye with focus and target lock, though.

The OP’s idea of 3PO has me thinking of that combo as well. I could drop the expensive stuff on Poe and go work Lone Wolf. I’ll probably want to space out this Squad a bit anyway:

@Pa Weasley PZ-4CO : Might not be worth the points for just the ability to coordinate over long distances. I say this, as the ability might as well not be present when used on Rey. Design wise it could work, but during actual play, I don't think it is actually worth it. The ability to coordinate is gone while Rey is stressed, which will happen alot. This is where C-3P0's calculate comes into play to help Finn instead.

@kempokid I could see Lone Wolf working okay on Poe, kinda thematic as well to be honest.

For what it's worth, I played this list.

Rey (73)
PZ-4CO (6)
Han Solo (6)
Finn (10)
Shield Upgrade (4)
Rey’s Millennium Falcon (5)

Ello Asty (56)
Heroic (1)
Integrated S-Foils (0)
Ferrosphere Paint (6)

Rose Tico (26)
Heroic (1)
C-3PO (6)
Total: 200

I set Rose to run parallel to the back edge of the board and just did 1 forward then coordinate for several turns. The result was that I was able to keep that fairly fragile Pod out of the fray for most of the early game while feeding Rey actions. Once Rey started to get stressed and stay stressed I brought Rose in for some surprisingly effective clean up duty. My only real regret with this list was including Han over Korr Sella. He did what I wanted early on, flipping Finn's blank die to an evade without touching Rey's force pool. But late in the game I didn't touch the red evade and found myself wishing to clear stacks of stress with a single blue maneuver. But that's just where I'm coming from with the suggestion.
