Rebel player coming back.

Hey

I played some 2.0 after release then legion took my time. Coming back now, what is the hot stuff for rebels?

Well, it was Rebel Beef. FFG killed that a few weeks ago. The new hotness will probably a toned down version of Rebel Beef. We'll call it Rebel Steak Umm.

(For your edification Rebel Beef usually consisted of Wedge, Braylen, Cassian + Leia crew, 4th random ship: Ten Numb, Biggs, Jake, Dutch, etc)

What is your style of play?

Lando + 2 is very solid. Nien is stapled to him, and Leia is still solid at 6.

Rumours of its death are greatly overstated...

random generics smashed together to count to 200 seems good.

Y-Wings get ion cannons and the occasional seismic charge, B-Wings get tractor beams, X-Wings get S-Foils, U-Wings get Leia and Pivot Wing, A-Wings get Crack Shot and/or Intimidation, and then see what all of those adds up to 200.

T-65s are still the best chassis in the faction, but generic E-wings are also worth looking at after the points reduction.

You can still fit Braylen, Cassian, Leia, Biggs, and a generic T-65 and still have 3 points leftover for something like selfless on Cassian.

I've been playing around with some form of Biggs, Wedge w/Swarm Tactics, and two beefy selfless carriers. Tanky as all get-out and great at jousting.

I haven't tried this since the points change made me adjust it (removed Luke and Predator, to replace with Thane and two Ion Torpedoes), but two X-Wings and two A-Wings are pretty fun.

Preliminary tests have been mediocre so I want to get it to the table ASAP.

Dash stays obstructed at R3, throwing 5 green dice with focus and evade and 2 5-dice attacks with focus (and often lock).

Dash stays back and AP-5 stays FURTHER back until it’s time to sacrifice AP and let Dash slip away. I’ve always kept my stealth device until after AP goes down, and then it’s just a matter of soloing whatever’s left.

Not great by any stretch but it’s the best I’ve been able to work up with the 2400.
