What Talent would actually proc the most for Ric?
Most Proced Talent for Ric?
Crack shot for budget, lone wolf if he's an Ace.
I've had a lot of success with Outmaneuver
Predator works, too
Lone Wolf by far is his most useful talent.
Edited by Boom Owl... what's wrong with juke again?
7 points is an incredible bargain if you have any kind of focused-fire or token denial (read: Padme).

Nothing, strictly speaking
It's just that Ole! becomes hyperdependent on full throttle, putting those lovely 3 trolls a little to waste
So really it's a question of whether or not Ole! needs ANYTHING at his incredibly economic cost. Crackshot at most?

If the phantom, AKA THE best platform by far for juke, isn't good anymore with juke, I doubt any other ship will ever want to take juke, except as a purposeful handicap.
It could maybe.... MAYBE work with padme, in a kind of 3 juke list will Naboo's. But really at that point I think you'd be better of with outmaneuver, and again outmaneuver wouldn't be much good compared to just saving those points and investing in torps, passive sensors, more ship, etc.
Juke is good when it's spammed, not as a single pick on a single pilot. It's the same reason the tie-defender was never really good even with juke. You need at least 2/3+ juke to really make it work, and with the new price tag it's really difficult to do this.
Not saying it's bad per se, Juke spam was kinda feel bad. But it's just not worth it anymore.

I'm not the only one who says "Ole!"
Every time I moved him last night I shouted his name with a flourish.

Eh...Juke gets better when spammed, but it still has uses if there's only one copy in a list. TIE defenders can get a lot of use out of it when they still get action + evade after a WHITE K-turn, and the opponent doesn't have an action because they're stressed. They can also force the opponent to spend a focus token so subsequent shots hit harder. The new price tag does cause one to pause when looking at putting Juke into a squad, but I'd argue that it's still strong on TIE defenders (EDIT and N-1's because they share Fulllllll Throttle!) and TIE phantoms. You have to give up something else in the squad to make it fit, but I believe that is called "balance."
Edited by ParakitorI really like Daredevil with him, do a three hard and get your evade token. Then you can do a hard boost to essentially do a K-turn.

to make it worth it, that defender needs to make 7 attack where juke deals an extra damage, and that's just to mostly break even with crack shot in term of efficiency. I doubt that happen often. Most of the time, it's a glorified hotshot, which, while good, I don't see much people playing.
That defender can actually save points and pick outmanoeuver to go with it's white 4k, or even lone wolf to push more damage or survive better, or that N1 could pay 2 extra points for a torp that increase it's damage output, remove a green die at range, and has a chance to spike 4 damage.

Does crack shot function as effectively a jam?

Hm. Good point. I mean, Juke doesn't require bullseye, which is nice, but I can see now where "7 points is too expensive" comes from. Thanks.

Who says it’s not good on Phantoms anymore? It’s still great, just not busted like before. It’s also AMAZING on Vermeil with Vader. I have a Vermeil/Duchess/Whisper list, all with Juke and Passive Mods, and it hits like a truck.
Juke isn’t something you can mindlessly spam on free-evade ships anymore, but it’s worth every bit of its 7 points, especially when token denial of some sort is in play.
Juke is great on him. Predator is nice, but then again he's an I5 with access to FCS. Crack Shot or Marksmanship is probably not bad if you need to keep the cost down, but I'd take Juke over Outmaneuver (he's not a knife fighter, he's a zoomer and boomer you'll see coming) and Lone Wolf (four ship Republic is better than three ship Republic, and two ship Republic with Ric doesn't exist) any day.

Every time Ric barrel rolls, he plays "Never gonna' give you up'
I've played a lot of Ric over the past week; I wouldn't run him with anything other than juke.
Sure, it makes him dependant on getting the evade, but that's what Ric is doing most of the time, regardless.
I slapped some plasma torps on him, so that you have a 3 dice attack in situations where your opponent went the same speed (which is actually rather often). It feels like it is making a difference over just relying on your primary.
With Juke, on a single green die the defender has a 37.5% chance of getting an evade. With R2-C4, on a single red die, the attacker has a 25% chance of getting an eyeball.
