Are these valid:

a) Sabre Squadron, Snipe 4, Swarm.

b) Is Activated by Flight Controllers, adds a blue dice to anti squadron armament - Does that make it Snipe 5?

c) If Howlrunner is at Range 1 of Sabre, she adds a blue dice due to her ability. Does that add a blue dice to Snipe?

2.

a) Ciena Ree, Counter 2, Swarm.

b) Dengar makes Ciena Counter 3 due to his ability (assuming in range)

c) Does Howlrunner makes Ciena Counter 4 (assuming in range) due to her ability?

Situational I guess, but want to know as I want to use squadrons more.

Yes to all the above, if 2c involves both howl and dengar at the same time.

Anything that affects “attacks” will affect counter, as counter is an “attack” too.

But do look for timing issues.

Not with Jendon. Flight Con  trollers do not work on the squadron that Jendon is giving the attack.
This means only Snipe 6 direct and 5 with Jendon.

And Swarm, if you have another squadron in range.

A clarification on this, not for this particular case, but something that is good to have in mind.

Dengar does give squadrons Counter 1 or increase it's counter, but Howlrunner only makes them add 1 blue die while attacking. Why is this distinction important? Because with that combination you can make a TIE Fighter counter with 2 blue dice, but it doesn't have Counter 2, it has Counter 1 and adding 1 blue die. So if the squadron you're trying to counter attack is obstructed, you cannot counter attack at all in that scenario, because the die from the counter 1 is taken out and there's no chance to add the die from Howlrunner. Something that if you had Counter 2 wouldn't happen because even if obstructed you'll still can counter with 1 die.
