They let her keep using silver cos she was such a successful queen (presumably there was a lot of domestic stuff we don't see in the films, cos her foreign affairs record isn't great), that's why her shuttles are still silver in eps 2 and 3. If her shuttles are silver her fighters should be too I think. Plus yeah, there's that awful, awful cartoon.

Was there a queen between Padme in PM and the one we see in AotC? If so then in my head-canon the one in between is Mila Kunis.

A Naboo painted Scurg bomber. Whit Ric as a pilot, and 2 gunners ( orignal crew of five)
( The scurg beeing a fighter/bomber prototype produced by a spaceship builder, to the naboo royal forces. but they dident like it, So the head designer ( Jennkins ) Stole it and gave it to its current owner, Nym)
