Edited by Boom OwlYeah, more should have been done with these guys before now.
As for ships, I’m going the Inquisitor route and giving them a mini version of the big boss’s ship (see the TAP and the Advance). That could be the ship we see in the Rise of Skywalker trailer
Either that, or a specialized drop ship, maybe in the vein of the Reaper.
Knights of Wen?
Probably the FO interceptor, since it kinda looks like a lesser Silencer
I'm with Snoke on this one, their hats are stupid.

He's half right....
Force available FO interceptors would be amazing. SNR double position to blue move focus/evade/TL. That would be great.
It brings into question though, would the FO interceptor be the same chassis that’s in Resistance cartoon? Maybe they do a V1 version like the advanced prototype.
I just need the FO to get some ship love soon. I like the silencer, but the faction needs some serious options.

Yeah, I think he was more divided on the issue
Id be 100% ok with none of them being force sensitive.
When we have a ship associated with them, hopefully. That's one thing that really sucks about Finn for me. I love the guy, but he's not really known for a ship, so he's just a Crew in X-Wing and I don't get to have him fly something cool directly.

And poor at split second decisions.
I'm torn between whether I'd rather have Figue Ren, or Darth Ficus.
I agree ™️ ®️ ©️
i4 Silencer generic with a force point sounds fly af
Knights of Never more like it. Whatever JJ may have had planned with a single line reference to the "Knights of Ren" in TFA; Rian completely dismissed it in TLJ. Doubt we'll ever see them, ever. Too late to introduce an entire concept like that in the final film of a trilogy. There are already enough loose ends to try wrap up after the lousy send act...

I hope so, because that ship is sweet.
In order for it not to be a carbon copy of the Silencer with less health, I'd give it an action bar like the v1 with movement actions linked to Focus (so no double reposition... that's the Silencer's game), and maybe an odd set of blues--all the 3-speeds, or all the 1-speeds like the v1.
My other nutty idea is a 2-dice primary, but also a 4-dice bullseye primary, but a ship ability which turns off the range-1 bonus. It'd be 2-dice out of bullseye, 4 dice in bullseye--at any range. Probably in cost a little higher than an Advanced /v1.
I think I care more about the First Order ships we'll get from Episode 9 then about the movie itself. And if the rumors are true that's where we will see the Knights of Ren. What ships they'll be in I have no idea but I am in favor of them having Force powers.

We already know they are in TROS.
I'm gonna go with Starvipers.

Or they were never be meant to be anything but a universe building background reference.
Where would they have come in the story with Rey training on her own and the Resistance story line happening mostly on board of their ships? Would they be Snoke's guards? In that case they would have been just killed off.
The story ended with Kylo being able to do his thing as the head of FO. So in the third movie, which can widen the focus on how the FO works, they can have them make an appearance as Kylo can make them more important in the FO hierarchy and by extension the storyline. Or they will just be cool extras to thwart the good guys in the All is lost part of the third movie.
TL;DR Knights of Ren were the three seashells of Force Awakens.
Oh... and attributing the lack of KoR to just the director is such nonsense. It's not like a massive franchise like Star Wars has had any pre-planning for its three movie arc or there were no pre-production meetings and a single person was making every tiny storytelling decision.
Edited by PoldaIdk compared to Avengers Endgame, TLJ and the new trilogy does certainly seem like a hodgepodge mess
Obviously not solely the director's fault (Disney would never give that kind of freedom --> see also rogue 1 reshoots) but someone certainly botched something bad
Anyway, the Knights of Ren were very clearly intended to be those of Luke's students that decided to faff off with Kylo Ren . We see them in Rey's vision after she beholds Anakin's lightsaber

Too bad the Silencer is already an FO interceptor.
Seriously, I’m not sure how they are going to keep differentiating all of these TIEs from each other and the Imperial ones.

That is a huge problem with the game as it stands. The old EU fit in better with XMG: while some new ships were developed the core group remained the same for logistical purposes up until the end of the Civil War (and even into the Vong war and beyond).
Now we have 2 new factions, with their own ships (understandable from a marketing perspective) but they have to be distinct from both other ships both inside
and
outside of their faction.

It's working!

It's really not
That's an incredibly obvious connection to make
Rey's parents' identities is a mystery box thing. A bunch of former Jedi Padawan bozos (when one is already a central antagonist) really isn't
Also, re differentiating from OT TIEs, just add a swivel gun! Worked for the SF and resistance A!

There, fixed it.
