I was wondering if FFG is planning on introducing Clone Wars or Force Awakens era factions? I think it would be fabulously fun.

They announced at Celebration Chicago that the Clone Wars factions were coming to Armada sometime next year.

Note that this just confirms Clone Wars content coming to Armada.

It doesn't necessarily mean new factions - the Seps could as easily be added to the Rebel fleet, with the Republic ships part of the Empire (who flew half of them, AS the Empire, anyway).

I'd like new factions, of course, and certainly there is enough material to work from - but they didn't actually say one way or the other.

Scum. granted there wont be much in the way of 'capital ships' bigger than corvettes or frigates, probably small fighters and freighters swarming targets with pocket carriers and assorted salvage... like Clone war ships. (mostly CIS or small Republic ships taken from planetary defense forces.)

Hutts, Black Sun, Crimson Dawn, Zahn Consortium, Mandalorians, Corporate Sector...ect... There are alot of independent factions out there that could be brought together for small assault fleets
