Purity of Spirit and Pride

Esteemed forum members,

How dose Purity of Spirit interact with the Pride keyword?

- If a dishonored character with pride is targeted by Purity of spirit and loses, will he/she return to being dishonored after the conflict? or will the token be removed after being placed?

- if a normal character with pride is targeted by Purity of spirit and wins, will he/she return to being honored after the conflict? or will the status token attempt to be added, fail, and be removed?

Pride happens as soon as a winner is determined; so immediately after conflict step 3.2.3 begins. Purity of Spirit removes status tokens when the conflict ends which is after characters go home and bow in conflict step 3.2.8. So, in both cases pride will try to honor/dishonor the character and then any status token still left will fall off at the end of the conflict resulting in a normal character.
