Does it really only come with one proximity mine token?
2.0 Decimator - mine tokens

Yes.
Following the theme of the core set that comes with half a set of dice
I don't think any ship has ever come with more than one of each mine or bomb token. This isn't unusual.

I think slave I 2.0 has two of the same tokens (I don’t have that expansion). It’s just so annoying because, legally in game, what am I supposed to do if I drop the second prox mine (because it has two charges) after the opponent already avoided the first one and it’s still on the field?
Firespray had 2 mines. Ywing had 2 proton bombs and 2 seismic. Mines make sense since there could be 2 on the table with one firespray. Bombs dont make sense at all, but hey, free bomb tokens. And fusesssss soon
Yeah it's a little odd and off-precedent that it only includes 1, but I wouldn't worry about it too much as you'll end up with far more than you can even use before too long.
Maybe a decimator card pack brings a 4th pilot and 2nd mine?

Ah, my bad. Spot the person who hasn't bought a 2e packaged ship yet. I have so many mine and bomb tokens from 1e that I stopped even punching them out of the cardboard years ago. I just assumed it was still all one of each, or maybe even that was just memory bias.

I hear what you’re saying. But (and I don’t meant to sound like yet another broken record - I’ve read what others have said in this subject) my Extended collection consists only of Empire, so I only have the one prox mine token from the imp vets expansion. I DO want another Decimator at some point, so buying the new one isn’t out of the question, but then I sill only have JUST enough tokens for any scenario involving just one prox mine upgrade. I’m unlikely to buy more tie bombers and punishers as I’m not interested in fielding more than what I have. So I might have to go in on slave I, or I’ll try and hit up the US x-wing sell/buy community.

I’ve been hoping the card packs come with more than just new pilots. Seems like a cost-efficient way to give players new conditions, abilities, and upgrades, too, to keep things fresh for original-faction ships.

I'd just ask some locals if they have extras they'd want to give you, or maybe sell for a song. Lots will have more than they could ever conceivably use. I'm definitely that way with a lot of cards (15 proton torpedoes? 18 copies of Juke?). I have no attachment to them and giving them to someone who could use them beats tossing them in the trash or taking up storage space for eternity.
The only really hard-to-get token is the Rigged Cargo token as it's only available in $40 packs, only in scum (Lancer and Scum Falcon), and only comes 1 apiece. I got lucky and snagged one for under $10 on ebay because someone was selling all the cardboard from the Lancer (they thought they only needed the model, joke's on them!).
Edited by ClassicalMoserIf you're stuck for some mine tokens I might have some hanging around still. I chucked out quite a lot of the unpunched 1e cardboard but I'm fairly sure I have a couple still there that you're more than welcome to.

It’s also in the new Modified YT-1300, which... wait for it...
DOESN’T!
have an illicit slot anymore. So, if you bought that ship, you just got “fang-burned” <- attempting to coin this as a term that means “the expansion includes an upgrade you cannot use except in quickbuilds”, like the fang fighter and afterburners.

Thanks for the offer! I’ll check with my local group first, as suggested.

To be fair, we got that with the Jumpmaster in 1e
Most of the time you are dropping a mine on an enemy ship. If you miss with the first one, leave it there until you need to drop the second one. If it looks like a sure hit, then great, you don't need a second token. If it's iffy, mark the first token and use it to message if the second one hits. If not, well, now I guess you're in trouble.
But most of the time, my Proximity Mines hit in such a way that it is an obvious overlap, so I don't even need to use a single token.
