Rebel beef is dead, long live the Republic beef?

New toys arrived today (two shiny Naboo Starfighters and two more ARCs, because one was really not enough), so I started to brainstorm how to use them at the next X-Wing night. Best looking idea turned out like this:

Similar thing to what Luminara + triple ARC was about, but I think that Padme ability is potentially much stronger than that of Luminara. Generics with scramblers fly in front to provide obstruction for Padme and try to keep her alive as long as possible (I was also thinking about I3 generics with Dedicated but they still seem way too overpriced), Sinker provides offensive rerolls for other ships, Padme flies at the back of formation and keeps her arc wide.

Finding the optimal formation will likely take a few tries but I think this build might have some potential.

I've been running something close to this the last couple of weeks but with more toys on Padme. Here's my experience:

  • Padme's ability doesn't proc much, but when it does it's glorious
  • Keep Padme back. She will become the prime target, especially for aces, plus she pops.
  • It's hard to keep her evade token coming with the Arcs. They don't want to move fast, and she wants to be behind them to keep things in arc.
  • Padme pops like a 15 yo's pimple. Play it safe with her.
