I've been playing x-wing casually for a while now, never been in a tournament just casual play. I try to keep up with how the meta shapes and reshapes as I find that quite interesting. My question is, while resistance ace on paper looks quite strong I'm not seeing it turn up in many tournament results. I really like the style and will keep flying, I just wanted to get your opinion on the subject as I acknowledge that reading tournament results is not the same as attending them.

The lists I'm referring to are Poe+Nien+L'ulo or similar. My normal load out is

Poe - R4+ S-foils+ Black One+ Heroic+ HLC

Nien - S-foils+ Heroic+ Pattern Analyzer+ R4

L'ulo - Heroic+ Predator

This leaves 14pts to play with

Some matchups can be really rough with Resistance trio, such as beef/swarms.

You are challenged for damage output and can get cornered and zapped.

Otherwise, yes.

It just mostly had trouble with rebel beef because Neins trick is just standard play for the entire rebel beef squad of kturning without stress. Losing one ship early against rebel beef almost seals your fate because the other two cant do enough damage in time to win.

It has enough tools and tricks to be top though. Just gotta be in the right hands.
