😄 Yeah, I'm an idiot. That's not the maneuver tool! No, they didn't show it. I bet it's like the Armada one.

I'd be okay with an Armada type, but I am not sure how that would work with the dial.

so is it tracking left and right sides- this shows left at 1 and right at 9 or is it one number. Also what do you think the little black and white token with the turret and coordinate on it is for, maybe allow another ship to rotate turret?

Oh, that is maybe left and right. I was thinking the shields went up to 19! I am not sure which I like better.

maybe left is the front section and right the rear? Now I really want the rules posted!

One of two things: Epic shields now go to double digits, or that's fore and aft shield tracking... same with energy.

As for that token: seeing as how they couldn't figure out how to make a rotary indicator for the Ghost's arc on it's v1 stand for the Rebel conversion kit, I'm assuming that token is to indicate where a turret is facing by placing it on the ship cardboard in the arc you want to shoot from.

Also note that both ships have two dials. The resistance and the rebel have different maneuvers on the CR90.

So hyped. SO HYPED!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I had not considered that the shields / energy might be for an aft. Um... that's a possibility.

As for the turret indicator, you can sort of see one on the Raider and C-Roc in the very last picture, under the front peg.

Resistance doesn't get the CR-90. That one is Republic and Rebels... Resistance gets the GR-75.

" Now, the CR90 corvette can be flown by the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Republic ; the GR-75 medium transport can be used by the Rebel Alliance or the Resistance; the Raider-class corvette and the Gozanti-class cruiser can fight for the Galactic Empire or the First Order; and the C-ROC cruiser can fly for the Separatist Alliance or Scum and Villainy."

As for the dials themselves, they look like exactly the same maneuvers on them to me (just like the C-ROC's spread looks to show for the Scum and Sep dials).

Yeah, pretty sure this is just to give the "proper" dial backing but at least it could be different if they wanted it to be.

The "2x" above the action bar is intriguing.

Also, I'm not sure about the number beside the initiative indicating different initiatives for moving vs combat, as it seems to be next to a command symbol - maybe it's an initiative level for commands, instead?

Took a closer look, that looks more like a target symbol than the command symbol, so I'm onboard with it being a different initiative for combat, now.

It is the scenarios that excite me the most. And flying Phoenix squad with my CR. And Inferno squad with the Corvus. And the infernal beating my credit card will take. maybe not that last one.

The 2x has got to mean you can perform 2 actions, which will be pretty nice.

For the pilot score, I think you are right. Looks like the huge ships will move last and fire last depending on their size.

The Gozanti puzzles me, it was originally a Republic Ship. Does the FO use it? The hull is pushing well over 60 by that point.

Sad the CR90 is not in the Resistance, but the potato fits thematically.

Anyways, time to break out the old "We Brake for No One" bumper stickers!

Meh...

yes, but the standard paint scheme makes it way too stark a contrast to the rest of the faction :P

I know you’ve already seen this but I’m sad that nobody tagged @Darth Meanie

I'm sad they aren't releasing any imperial epic ships such as the raider or the assault carrier...

I hope one of the raider pilots or titles has synergy with the inferno squad pilots.

🤨 Reading, it be your friend...

"Meanwhile, the Tantive IV Expansion Pack and C-ROC Cruiser Expansion Pack invite new and veteran players alike to harness the might of these massive craft and utilize a variety of new upgrades only available for huge ships. Look for these expansions at your local retailer early in the fourth quarter of 2019, with the Raider-class corvette following soon after , and read on for more information about what huge ships bring to your games of X-Wing!"

So Oct to early Nov for the first 2, then the Raider and others starting soon after (so maybe just before to just after Wave 6)

The agent of the empire card is awesome. I hope each faction has a way to protect key pilots preferably using generics for ablative damage.

First edition epic usually resulted in aces dying quickly but too many named pilots could really slow the game down. This seems like a great trade off.

It says in the article that they use the same movement templates. I'm guessing you put them on the side somewhere to move.

You're right on the factions, my mistake. But looking at the photo it shows one has a red 5 and the other only goes to 4. Also Red. white and blue maneuvers mean that huge ships can now get stress?

The Red Zero Bank maneuver is interesting... how would a template work for that?

Oh I missed that, but I was going to hypothesize that they might have just repurposed the regular movement templates. That’s great!

The dial on the left is for an Imperial ship, the dial on the right is for a Rebel ship... They're color coded by the backplate.
