This might be a reference to pilots like Serissu or Howlrunner, however ;)

You mean that Howlrunner's ability will work with everyone in the Wing, and not just those at R1? Same for Serissu? Hmm.....that could be true. Even then, that's cool. It makes Serissu pretty interesting. I was hoping it was something like Krassis as a Wing Leader would give everyone a re-roll. OK...I just picked that ability off the top of my head. Not even sure if medium bases can or whatnot. Just picking an ability.

Where did you get that!?!? ...and thanks!

Corsair Refit?

Image result for would you like to learn more?

So, since I already have a C-Roc I do not need to buy the new expansion right? That principle will still apply? All I need will be in the conversion kit?

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything in the content list for the C-ROC that's not in the Conversion Kit, so you should be good with just the Conversion Kit.

Alright that's pretty awesome. Does this mean I actually need to pick up the scum Gozanti now to fly with my beautiful Separatists?

So some of the points that I highlighted to my Facebook group:

1 - Huge ships have a double initiative (corvette has 8 and 0). Based on how it was done in V1, this might be to get rid of the seperate phase of huge ships and simplify things. so that huge ships move last, but fires last as well (harder to get a target lock on them, but they can't initiative kill you in exchange).

2- The shield / energy counter no longer seems to have a distinction between fore or aft and goes in the double digits, yikes!

3- There is a "x2" above actions, implying that most ships can do 2 actions (Gozanti included).

4 - Huge ships can take a focus

5- There are turret indicators, which means that other arcs can exist beside the now reduced arcs present on the Tantive 4.

6- The turret shown indicates that they now have a red bank stationnary manoeuver. That means a new manoeuver template, most likely. This was a huge problem with the tantive before, but now it seems it can break and turn, which is good.

7- The Tantive only has hardpoint upgrades, while the C-Roc has hardpoints and missiles/turrets/cannons. To me, this mostly mean that some ships might have longer range capabilities while the C-Roc might be designed for close ship to ship combat.

Need to ? No. But a C-ROC kitted out to support a whole swarm of droid fighters? Might want it a whole lot.

OK....looking at the contents of the Conversion kit, the COMMAND upgrade says 9 COMMAND, CREW UPGRADES. They have a bunch of named people and then some generics. So.....it looks like you can have a ship....but then maybe put a unique captain in charge of the ship. OK....so maybe not something like "aggressive stance" that works on the ship.

When I look at the C-ROC (yo yo) I see they have 5 COMMAND cards. So, maybe the conversion has some, but the new kits have more. Hmmm....

I just noticed that the box art shows two CR-90 corvettes battling a Raider-class corvette. Do you think we'll be able to include two CR90's in a squad, unlike First Edition? That sounds...EPIC! Guess we need to wait on points.

only caveat is I hope we don't have to buy these things to get content for the main game...

So there are three cards in particular I am interested in.

Toryn Farr

Quick Release Clamps

Saboteurs Map

All three are, by their type, the only cards that could be equipped to regular ships. Quick release is probably related to docking and C-roc specific. The other two?

Mil curious if they are Huge Ship Only, or otherwise restricted from standard play.

Hey, I just noticed that the Conversion kit gives you Systems, Turrets, Cannons, and Gunners! That means the big ships get those, too! So, it's not just Hardpoints! That's a really cool way to make some close in point defenses. I am REALLY starting to like this.

Nope. I do not believe it. These guys will be too much on their own. I'm not even sure medium ships can have wings.

Team Upgrades include:

  • Bombardment Specialists
  • Comms Team
  • Damage Control Team
  • Gunner Specialist
  • IG-RM Droids
  • Ordnance Team
  • Sensor Experts

Not sure what they can do or if they would match up with the old crew cards. Even if the name is the same, the abilities are surely not. So, I am pretty eager to see what these guys do. Well, eager to see it all, really.

Woah! 19 Titles! I guess so with 7 factions.

OH, Corsair Refit? Hmm....

I wish there was a picture of the new maneuver tool. Or am I missing it?

Did someone say "point defense"?

10 Hardpoint Upgrades

  • 2 Ion Cannon Batteries
  • 2 Ordnance Tubes
  • 2 Point Defense Batteries
  • 2 Targeting Batteries
  • 2 Turbolaser Batteries

HYPE! Wonder if that's going to be similar to the old Quad Turbolasers.

Well, just like Toryn Farr before, she had an ability that only worked for Huge ships. You could always put her on any ship, but she didn't do anything.

Quick Release Clamps is for the Gozanti only. They allow you to have more ships go per turn or some such.

No idea on Saboteurs Map.

Pretty sure that just tracks shield/energy values for fore/aft sections.

thats energy and sheilds

so is it tracking left and right sides- this shows left at 1 and right at 9 or is it one number. Also what do you think the little black and white token with the turret and coordinate on it is for, maybe allow another ship to rotate turret?

😄 Yeah, I'm an idiot. That's not the maneuver tool! No, they didn't show it. I bet it's like the Armada one.

also hurrah for no more tokens for energy!
