What should we be purchasing or not purchasing if we've bought all of 1.0 and all 2.0 releases to date?
Can one save some money and not purchase some of the expansions or are they new ships/contain new cards, etc?

Well, Flappy B-Wings. That on its own is an incentive to buy one, even if you've got enough B-Wings to make an Epic player very happy.
If you are Imperial-only, the Decimator includes BT-1 and 0-0-0 which were previously only available in the Scum conversion kit.
The 'new' ships are the N-1 Starfighter for Republic, Hyena Bomber for CIS, and the Resistance Transport. These ones will include new upgrade cards, such as Passive Sensors, Plasma Torpedoes, Autoblasters etc.
You can skip the reprinted ships since you have all the 1.0 and 2.0 releases.
Stick to the new chassis: transport, n1, and hyena.
I have 2x n1 and 2x transports on preorder. I don’t have any CIS, and I have no need to buy the old ships made new again.

Gotta catch 'em all.
When is the new wave release date? When will we have points for them?

The official, definitely not broken by Barnes and Noble in the US release date is the 11th.
My understanding is that the points costs which were shown in the FFG Live presentation/on the new PDF cost lists will go live on the official squad builder then, or on the 12th.

Launch bay next and yasb 2.0 have the new points including wave 4 content already up.
The pdfs with new points are already up on the main page, named "Upcoming ..." with June 25th uploads dates. The 1.04 Rules Reference has an effective date on July 10th and I believe the point changes technically do as well.
I’m not buying much this wave. I gave into temptation and bought an N-1 at B&N because it’s the ship I’ve always dreamed of flying in X-Wing. I’m also going to end up with a Resistance Transport because I traded some stuff to a buddy in exchange for him buying me one. But that’s all.
Taking a step back, though, I feel like 2.0 is generally way better about making multiple list types viable without compelling us to chase every release. A couple things like Moldy Crow, 0-0-0, and BT-1 buck that trend. But even so, it’s possible to build decent enough lists that don’t use those. (Though you obviously want the Crow if you’re flying a HWK, and I have no doubt that Scum players will pony up for a new HWK when it gets rereleased.)
I don't fly republic but I had enough store credit saved up to get an N1 for the Passive Sensors and Plasma torpedoes. As much as I would like a copy of the Autoblaster I don't need it in HS and can wait for it to be in an Imperial or F/O release.
i'm getting one of each, min. 2 silencers and 2 hyenas. think I'll need a third hyena, 2 more n-1's and maybe another silencer by the time it's all said and done.
I feel a great disturbance in my wallet.

Wave 4 stuff in LBN is incomplete and incompletely coded.
If you play Republic, the n1 is probably the best buy ever because Ole! is dumb undercosted. Also, nostalgia
The resistance transport is also a fine one-of as either a cheap, generic c3po coordinate boat or Finn Pod (which seems puny but his ability and cost actually make Finn a pretty big deal)
The Hyena...!?!?!
I went with three and am fitting them into lists just fine, but they're so wonderfully bizarre that it's impossible to recommend an exact #

What’s missing? Everything I’ve looked for has been there.
i do know it has incomplete wave 5 content, but that’s Wave 5 and not coming out this week.

Rebel YT 1300. The B Wing and Decimator show up in the faction lists in Collections, but I can't add them to squads. This is on the Android app.
I got 2 Hyenas from B&N because I can’t play super often and I knew I’d have a few games before the official release date. Planning to get at least one more from my FLGS, though anywhere up to 6 total doesn’t sound bad...
I want the transport because I have all of the Resistance stuff so far, but it hasn’t had a ton of interesting options until now, IMO. N1 looks fun but for the amount I play at all right now, let alone Republic... it’s probably a pass until I have random extra money floating around. 😔

Don't forget the new Silencer! I sat out of the 1.0 version to wait for this beauty and it was WELL worth it (and $10 cheaper).
This is the slim and nimble starfighter that we saw in TLJ, none of that bulky hunkiness that we saw at the tail end of 1.0. Can't wait to get mine on the table!
But what I really want are Autoblasters and Passive Sensors for my B-Wings. Both would have been excellent in the B-Wing pack, but apparently FFG's promises that we won't have to buy out of faction and there won't be chase cards are less important to them than their promise that we would never have any reason to re-buy models. I don't buy resistance and I'm not very committed to Republic yet, so my B-Wings are sad.
Edited by ClassicalMoserIf you don’t play resistance or a prequel faction, nothing is necessary in this wave at all. Well, none of them are strictly necessary, it’s a game and a hobby, but I’m not getting into philosophy today.
Passive sensors, angled deflectors and autoblasters are worthwhile upgrades for some oddball squad builds or to try them out, but I don’t see any reason to buy into those ships if you don’t play the factions. Silencer and B-Wing have great new models, and Silencer is a cheaper way to get Hate if you need it, but nothing new there. Decimator gets you some crew for Empire that wasn’t in the conversion kit.
If you play Resistance, Republic and/or CIS:
1-2 Resistance Transports. Most upgrades are unique, and I’m not sure how viable 2 transports (or a transport and a pod together) will be in a list, but I got two so I could trim the peg off a pod and glue it together so when I fly a transport it doesn’t have that distracting peg.
2(?) Hyenas. Not sure. I have 2, don’t think I need more. Time will tell.
4+ N-1s. Republic has become my main faction, so I buy way too many Republic ships (I’m at 6 aethersprites, 8 torrents, and 6 ARCs so far). 4 for now is good for me, but I’m sure I will end up with 5 (max for 200 points) or 6 (for epic).
Hyena-fest!

Yeah, now I’m wishing there was a trade-in program or something.

We do have card packs coming in wave 6, and FFg did state during the 2.0 release that not all factions would have access to the same toys at the same time. They haven’t broken any promises, you don’t need passive sensors and auto blasters to make a competitive B-wing build, which was the goal.
The only real chase card at this point is the moldly crow. (BT and trip zip are dropping in the deci this week).
1 N-1. (I already bought two). I didn’t really need it but I didn’t need a third sprite or another ARC either. When epic comes out I’ll be set for republic though...
Up to 6 TIE/sf. Really fun ship, really versatile. They can filler, swarm, ace (or at least Ace-Hunt... Quickdraw is more like Wedge than Soontir), and baseline joust. I think they do all rather well, due to the immense Time-On-Target of a rear-facing Turret. Why on earth they buffed this at the same time as nerfing the RZ-2 A-Wing, I have no idea.

Only bother is going to be getting 5x Passive Sensors to play around with Missile variants.
Edited by theBitterFigThis is probably the first wave... EVER... that I'm not getting at least 1 of everything.
Falcon- NO. I have 3 YT-1300s already. I can't think of any scenario where I would put more than 3 on the board at once. And it contains nothing new. (thank goodness - if I had to buy another YT-1300 for carboard, I'd be quite cross, and I would write a strongly-worded post to tell FFG that.)
Decimator- NO. I have one already. I can't think of any scenario where I would put more than 1 on the board at once. In fact, It's very challenging to think of a scenario where I'd put more than ZERO of them on the board at once. It does have some cards that weren't previously available to Imperial-only players. If you are such a player, you might need this. It doesn't apply to me.
N-1, Res Trans, Flappy B, Hyena: ALL THE YES!!!! (1 Trans, 2 N-1 and Hyena, probably 4 or 5 B's eventually: I've always used B's heavily, and I can't have SOME of them be flappy and the rest be static, that just wouldn't be fair.)
Tie/SF: Yes. I have two from 1st Ed. But I could justify getting more. Definitely a ship I could see spamming, or using in squadrons in Epic scenarios.
Tie/Vn: Maybe. New model seems sized more appropriately, but really nothing wrong with the old one, and no new content here.

There is, Ebay. that's where my jumbo went to help fund the new one.
