I really like how they don’t come with any new content beyond the minis.
Seriously, that’s not sarcasm.
I like that the miniatures game is about the minis not whombo-combo upgrades seeded throughout all the packs.

They feel pretty strong with agile. Wonder how good they will look in my endor army.

Yep, say your prayers. With Ram 2, surge to hit and, say, tenacity, they hit like trucks, and the have a pretty nice delivery system. I have a rule of buing only 1 of ech new expansion until it proves useful, I'll be hard pressed not to get two sets of these right away (not 3, as 1.4FD fills the last support slot in Hoth list :P)
I want to see tauntauns gunned down by droidekas..

I do when the group and me get a little too enthusiastic with the sauce. Measuring and setup are far easier. Lists tend to be a little more complicated, but I've got a dozen on my phone for the occasion with notes that intoxicated brain can understand.
Since asmodee took over the articles, I rarely read anything in them. Just look at the cards and see if there are spoilers. The text has too much of a "but wait! There's more!" feel to it now. And when they are written by people that don't even play sometimes, it's not much help.

They've always been that way. When I played X-wing (2 or 3 years ago?) we would look for the rules mistake every time an article came out and we found at least one every single time.
I know at one point, a lot of the LOTR lcg articles were either written or at least reviewed by one of the designers. As time went on, they don't even see the articles and have no control over what gets published at all.

I'm happy that @TauntaunScout got his article, but I'll be glad when the currently announced GCW articles are done. I'm only mildly interested in Rebel Vets and Shoretroopers, and couldn't care less about the creatures. One reason I'm hoping that Clone Wars comes out in August is that Deathtroopers were the last unit released I actually cared about, and Legion is getting a little stale.
First world problems, I know, insert joke about Armada players, or Original trilogy purists during the Clone Wars releases here, gotcha. But **** it, I just want units I actually care about.

You must be getting a lot more game time in for Legion to be stale. Hats off to you and your spare time. 🙂
I am guessing you will get Clone Wars September with a pre-release at GenCon, though I suppose it doesn’t hurt too much to hope further.
Honestly, I’m sort of happy for CW coming when it does. I think the existing announcements for GCW amount to the things I would hope for (outside of things that won’t come for a long time, when they want to badly add new content - ie Ewoks, Tusken raiders etc) are sufficient for me. I’m happy for you and your CW content, and I’m happy to be able to set a queue with an “end” in sight.
I **might** buy into Clone Wars someday, if I get a ton more game time. But I do plan to finish off my rebel and imperial collections (not completionist, just the ones I want) and have a self-sustained ecosystem where I can get games in with people who are interested.
Shouldn’t there be an option/models for Luke and Han riding Tauntauns?

I’m sure it will come up as some new game mechanic in the future for commanders that are not on standard trooper bases
