Or is it?

Well, it is. That's why I did ask ^^

It looks like 2 different attacks. I think they were just speculating on possible command cards

Yeah, I was a tad off :P Basically I think he’ll be a bit more unreliable than Luke - he has a chance to score lots of hit. But is not as reliable.

Per the rules he cannot go and engage 2 different units in melee, he has to be engaged at least by the second

Which will still come in handy when you are attacked by multiple Jedi commanders, operatives or special forces, which will become more of a potential threat as more jedi are released. Or if you engage one and are attacked by a second.

Or maybe Dooku or Maul can throw people at the lightsaber blender.

Grievous does have the lowest courage of any Melee commander, very susceptible to something like Suppression.

I'll just load up on suppression token removal and run this guy all the time cause he's one of my favorite characters.

I'm liking endurance on him - I think it'll be a good one

If you are obi or luke just shoot at him two times and jedi mind trick (obi can do this every round without rest) if you are vader just master of evil and a supression shot (your army have a lot) if you are palpatine you can use give in to your anger first round + supression and perhaps he will flee without any play. If not flee is only a matter of time with some focus.

Strict orders might also be a good call

Wonder if his Armament slot will have two more lightsabers?

I had hoped for greviuous to have multiple lightsabers so he can fight off multiple enemies and this is precisely that. It’s not 4 sabers but it works

I am sorry but he already uses 4 lightsabers. Each of his 2 weapons is called "Trophy lightsaberS" so 2x2=4.

True but he can only fight 2 enemies at once

Awesome! Too bad he doesn't sport 4 attacks, but that would certainly make him cost more than 200p...

Can't wait to start playing as CIS!

I was hoping for something like 1 blaster and 4 lightsabers. He would start with arsenal 2 but could spend an action to gain an additional arsenal 2. This is great but cheaper than expected

Sorry, as I said, he already has 4 lightsabers. Maybe he can get a command card to get more dice or aim tokens.

That is correct.

Maybe his whirling blades just make him immune to ranged damage that round. Though it likely will just increase his cover.

4 SEPARATE lightsabers

Grievous's mobility seems extremely good. On FFG Live, Alex said Scale is always on and is not an action, so it's better than Jump, it seems.

His pistol, unusually is melee to Range 2! 2 black and 2 white, Critical 1, Pierce 1, Versatile, which allows you to use the blaster pistol while engaged either to make a ranged attack, or to add those dice to his melee dice pool.

Any updates on his command cards?

I'm not watching live, but they will show the cards as they play the game, so I haven't gotten to that part yet. I'm just at the point of deployment :)

They did confirm that Droids are not affected by Suppression (no cover from it, do not lose actions), but will panic.

Also, Ion affects droids. They will lose an action per each Ion token.

I feel like Rebels and Imperials are going to be the more vanilla factions with a more beginner-friendly Core box. There aren't as many exceptions to the rules as there are with Droids and Clones.

Definitely true, and makes sense to me, as they were introductory for the game.

Alex played Standing O on the first turn and issued 3 order tokens using the droids' Coordinate and with Aggressive Tactics, gave each of the 3 units a Surge token lol pretty **** good for basic Standing O

Aggressive Tactics gives a unit a surge token when it's issued an order? That's gonna see some play.

@manoftomorrow010 Thanks for posting all these snippets.. I had to stop watching, just as turn 2 started.

One thing to note; it was said that there is nothing (card wise) in the unit expansions, apart from smoke grenades that cannot be found in the Clone Wars core set and the card upgrade pack. If you can do without smoke grenades, the core set just becomes that much better of a deal, especially if like me, you plan on playing separatists.

OMGGGG

So he can, against 1 target, deal 2R6B4W!!

I LOVE YOU, FFG!! 😍

This is correct! The other upgrade card they showed that I don't think has been spoiled yet, is Hope for Light Side. 3 points, gain Inspire 1.
