  1. Have +1 cookies for fielding some of my favourite ships.
  2. That is a weird squad title given that your TIE striker pilot is "Duchess".
  3. Maarek Stele is great but without Fire Control System he's nailed to target locking every turn, meaning he's basically useless when turning or rolling and unable to use the TIE/x1's awesome focus-link-barrel roll. Marksmanship is great but Fire Control is the priority, arguably at the expense of your initiative bid.
  4. Passive Sensors on a generic TIE/x1 is really nice. When you get to fire - which you do last - you can lock whoever is now defenceless and land a critical on them. It's arguably better than Maarek Stele, who - firing at initiative 5 - is likely to be shooting at targets who still have shield tokens, evade tokens, etc.
  5. Cluster Missile armed TIE bombers...firepower-wise aren't much better than a TIE/x1; without other dice modification, the bonus attack is not that much use so it's really just a 3-dice attack at range 2. 3 unmodified dice isn't that bad against agility 0-1 opponents, though, and as long as you see a fair number of B-wings and Y-wings it's not a bad call. It's the same price as an I1 striker or interceptor, and has a slight initiative advantage and a dial that's a lot easier to fly in formation with your other ships.
  6. Duchess - great. Very cheap, able to turn off the ailerons and hang in formation, or break off and pretend to be a lil' ace. She's not good enough to warrant a huge investment, but Crack Shot is good for its cost. With two beefy TIE/sa looking for close-range missile volleys, you could alternatively consider Ruthless instead.

And the bartender flinches, "ouch".

Those bombers might have a hard time getting locks, if you aren't tied to the Tempest and wouldn't lowering your ship count to 4...

How do the tie bombers get a lock on anything above initiative 2 in first round of shooting?? Also if its range 3 no cluster missiles.

All good points. The Bombers do have difficulty getting locks the first round. Second round they can if they have good range control. I would prefer Barrage but the points don’t fit and I want to fly 5 ships.

I’ll try this out as well...

I wish the bombers had a sensor slot
