Now that Sabine is out, I wanted to try a hero list. This will obviously be low on activations, but I reckon it will be fun to play.

Feedback welcome. Is anyone else thinking about playing a heroes list?

Rebel heroes : 797 pts, 8 activations

Me - I will be definitely be doing a list like this....

... will likely use the new veterans and do a Hoth theme though.

The only problem with cramming in more than two commander/operatives is that you have to start making choices on command cards. And it might be better to just spend the points on expensive equivalency units instead if you aren’t going to benefit.

For example, taking Chewbacca, but not Notorious Scoundrels or Common Cause, seems like such a wasted opportunity.

Its a tough choice yeah, but I like tough choices

I rarely take Chewy's cards because he tends to die early game and I don't get chance to use his cards.

Yep, I tend to exclude Chewie's card as well unless it's Brains & Brawn, an Rebel Heroes list don't have space for Leia I really like OP's take on the list, I've been toying with my own and included Snipers, but cutting stuff for a second medic might be the way to go I've made two lists, both featuring the core of:


Luke Skywalker + Force Push + Force Reflexes + Emergency Stims = 193
Chewbacca = 110
Sabine Wren + Personal Combat Shield + Electro Grappling Line + The Darksaber = 165

Rebel Troopers + 2-1B Medical Droid = 58
2x Rebel Troopers = 80

Rebel Commandos Strike Team + DH-447 Sniper = 44

And then either

a)
Jyn Erso + Duck and Cover + Emergency Stims + A-180 Config = 146
COMMANDS: Son of Skywalker, Explosions!, Trust Goes Both Ways, My Ally is the Force, Complete the Mission, Legacy of Mandalore

or

b)
Han Solo + Improvised Orders + Duck and Cover + Emergency Stims = 146
COMMANDS: Son of Skywalker, Sorry About the Mess, My Ally is the Force, Symbol of Rebellion, Legacy of Mandalore, Change of Plans


The choice to the command cards seems to be the key, so in OP's list I'd change RotJ into Change of Plans

@Shanturin interesting list. I purposely stayed away from snipers as I don't want to rely on them for every list.

I went for Han over Jyn as he is a natural choice to go with Chewy (thematically and for teamwork).

I like the RotJ command as it gives a much needed dodge, but I guess its less important if you have force reflexes.
