I've been looking for a blank d100 chart for obligation but can't find anything. Do you guys just write them out, punch it up in excel or what?
How do you guys keep track of obligation?
there is a campaign sheet at the back of the book. There is also the GM tools in Oggdudes character generator. One tip is to roll at the end of the session not at the beginning. So as to give you time to plan for the rolled obligation.
I second Daeglan's suggestion of rolling at the end of the session.
Many years of experience rolling at the end has proven it to work much better.
As for tracking it, I just have a little campaign spreadsheet on my phone (the free Sheets app). Works fine.
Even a Notepad app would be fine.

Oh nice. I've used the PC builder but haven't dove into Tools, ill try that.
Yeah I rolled after our first session to determine the second, and everyone was actually disappointed it didn't hit. I know the book says 5ob for 6 PCs but I wish I would have gone 10ob. It's going to be a rare hit and working a 5 down without killing it off just seems weird.

The gm tool allows you to track many aspects of your party like the party ship, what gear is on the ship. So it is really useful.
The PCs could have taken an extra 5 Obligation each for extra credits or starting XP.
Even so, you can present situations that will increase their Obligation during play (or add a group Obligation).
Need to fix your hyperdrive or really need that expensive item and don't have the credits? Well, that Hutt (or mechanics shop, or someone else) can loan you the money...for a price (Debt or Favor obligation).
There's lots of options. 😁
Cheers!
Yeah is was strange, on my Oggdude it wouldn't allow us to take an extra 5 unless our starting was 10, I could have done a grant I suppose but I really didn't mind. They're starting poor, weak, and can't shoot past short range. It's just the reality check we needed after high level D&D play.
