is CLT worth it ?

I think CLT is better on Obi-Wan than any other Jedi because of the way it harmonizes with his Focus-regenning ability. Ultimately it depends on your ability to reliably get those bullseye arcs on target. If you fly it right an extra eyeball is worth more to Obi-Wan than the extra red dice you get with Delta-7b.

The answer to "is CLT worth it?" boils down to "how good a pilot are you?". It's the less forgiving option, but if you have the skills the pay-off is more points to spend elsewhere!

I ran this and had fun with it. I preferred CLT to the Delta-7B already though. I've also really only flown Snips though as a support biding her time for the big opening.

I've flown her with a 7th Fleet Gunner ARC and getting the range one, plus one from gunner, plus a focus from CLT, with full mods is pretty satisfying. Especially after a red maneuver. Not enough ARCs version with 7th Fleet Gunner.

I think CLT is pretty decent on Anakin, too, just because Initiative 6. Dodge the arc, get the bullseye, take the lock. Kaboom.

Also price. R2/CLT Anakin went down 1 point from pre-Adjustment, while the R2/7B Anakin went up 6. There's a 15 point difference between CLT and 7B, instead of only an 8 point difference.

Anyhow, back to the original point: I think there might be something desirable with combining newly-buffed CLT Jedi with the newly buffed Dedicated.

Consider:

Lacks the offensive rerolls of a Sinker, but Dedicated can probably go a long way towards keeping a 3-green dice ship alive, and defensive rerolls always work best when you've got focus tokens to spend (which Obi has). Meanwhile, if your opponent ignores Obi, Dedicated can maybe save a hit on whichever arc is targeted, or bait an opponent into switching targets, and either way, your opponent is chewing on the gristle and Obi makes it to the late game.

7FG can boost Anakin up to 4 dice, with CLT adding an eye for a sort-of 5 dice attack, somewhat cheating the 4-dice-cap on 7FG. Meanwhile, Dedicated and Brilliant Evasion work really well together. Blank-rerolls from Dedicated ensure there are enough eyes to make BE worthwhile. 7FG recharge can be double-dipped with R2 Astromech regen.

Only 3 ships, though.

In general, I think 7FG can work well with CLT. Pot-shots at range are a lot stronger, and Range 1 bullseyes can essentially become 5 dice attacks.

Problem is, does a jousty block just fly up and delete the ARC's too quickly?

Jedi + Arcs is currently my favorite archetype, I'm loving all the ideas in the thread so far!

R2-A6 has been helpful in lining up bullseye to trigger CLT more often. And the synergy between Obi+Sinker+Dedicated is excellent (Sinker allows Obi to preserve Force by taking a Focus instead of TL and still get double-mods; Obi lets ARC's spend Focus on both offense + defense; Dedicated keeps Sinker and Obi alive even longer).

A slight variation that trades some offense for even more beefiness:

Not only is there twice as much Dedicated support for Obi + Sinker, now the generic ARC's can use Dedicated on each other as well. Also, all ARC's being at IN 3 is nice, albeit at the cost of an IN 2 blocker.

Wollfe either hits, which is good, or adds that strain token, which is also good for the others who shoot after him. Solid list that consistently throws dice. I’m curious how it does without a bid now though.

2 ARCs including Wolffe are quite solid, and the 2 Gold can block/annoy the ennemy. That’s 4 targets and Obi will eventually be left alone 😉

I toyed with Jedi + 3 Arcs when the faction was released and had a good time, definitely a fun archetype.

Lots of fun stuff here, but I noticed that nobody is taking Battle Meditation. It got cheaper too guys! Obiwan or Mace with Battle Med and CLT and three Arcs still leaves a few points to play with and if you play your engagement round right gets you two ARCs with Target Lock +Focus attacks.

13 Points left to play with, so you could upgrade one ARC to Wolfe and Cody and still have 2 points left. Alternatively 13 points gets you Proton Torps on one of the ARCs which you are conveniently Coordinating Target Locks too. There is always the option of putting R3 droids on all the arcs for 9 points so when you Coordinate the Locks they can take two each. The last thought I had was dropping Obi to Mace which gives you 18 points to play with instead. You lose the I5 coordinate but since Mace regens his Focus faster it may be a wash.

True. I was a bit wary of that as well when I played the list for our Hyperspace. No real aces (init 4 max) and no bid. Still it's Republic beef if you will, so it can take hits and dish out some punishment of its own for a while. The 104ths are very good blockers too, and the dual firing arcs can open up some interesting maneuvering. It can be tough to manage three medium bases at times but I really like them in general. I have a feeling bids might get smaller with the new points? Not sure, we'll see.

During the Hyperspace tournament, I faced FO lists with aces (Quickdraw [twice], Blackout, various TIE/fos), Separatists (Maul/Dooku/Vulture), Rebel beef (Wedge/Braylen/Ten/Cassian). I finished the swiss rounds being the sole undefeated player, but then lost my first game of the top 8 vs Rebel Y-Wings, five of them, all with Ion Cannon Turret and four with Veteran Turret Gunner. Very close game still at least, only a 3-point difference. One more damage on one of his remaining two Y-Wings would have given me half points and the game for a top 4 matchup. I lost Mace only once all day, during the top 8 game. I tried using him as a flanker mostly, keeping the three ARC-170 together initially.

I’ve been layering my attack with them. I’ll send the two 104ths up front and then follow in with Wollfe and Mace. Seems to work fine because the 104ths can break out keeping their rear arcs working while mace and Wollfe work from front arcs. Sets up a really nice kill box if you do it right. I’m also not afraid to run over obstacles if it leads to better positioning. And 100% take gas clouds with this list.

I went to a local tournament with my list and played 5 games.

first game VS Torrent swarm

- 5 Gold with sync console, cluster missile and Tucker with the same loadout. It was a close call but I lost (something like 112-130). Wolffe faced the swarm sitting on a rock 😅 ...

second game VS 4 Fangs

- Fenn and 3 zealous recruits

only Fenn survived: Victory !

third game VS Poe, 3 RZ2

- All of them had Heroic, RZ2 were Lullo, the other I5 and one I1 pilot.

I shot the sher... I mean Poe, and the I1. I had half pts for Lullo and the other I5.

victory but a very close one.

fourth game VS 4 Fangs

- another Fenn+recruits

first engagement, at range 3, Wolffe one shot a recruit 😎 . Easy beginning. The rest of the game was harder.

Victory 170-95

Last game VS triple Scurrg

- Nym, 2 Lok, 3 of them with proton bombs, hull upgrade and prox mines.

ARCs were great, again, as was Obiwan.

Victory 200- 103

At the end of the day that’s 4-1 and I’m ranked 3/18.

Obiwan never went down, and inflicted decent amounts of damage when firing in Bullseye.

cody was useless: activated once in 5 games.

Wolffe was either a hero or the main target.

And the 104th and the 2 Gold did their job pretty well.

Cody is a complicated upgrade to judge. He only activated once, which means you landed a hit with Wollfe every time he shot but once. That's great! (unless you rolled a bunch of blanks)

It could also mean you may not have been shooting enough with Wolffe. But that's circumstantial. If you looking for other ways to use those 3 points, though. Elusive isn't the worst thing on him, though not as much red on the dial as you'd typically want for Elusive.

All-in-all, congrats on the 4-1 finish! That's solid. I'm taking my 3 Arcs + Mace to a tourney in a few weeks and hoping for the same results 😁
