someone who got the spanish version of the rebel veterns has spoiled it (didn't catch the name and can't find the FB posting of it)

rebel veterns was spoiled
My Spanish isn't great. Any speakers want to tell me the gist of what the middle ability with the large amount of text on the turret says? I figured the rest out.
Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. It was coordinated fire, was just a longer explanation than what I was expecting.
Edited by thepopemobile100I've been seeing these cards pop up on FB. Not sure how I feel about the Mk II. Seems more than a little over powered compared to the E-Web in terms of its price and what it can actually do.

Well you have to buy a squad of veterans to be able too use them.
3hp won't live long vs snipers and weers

They roll white defense, and only have 3 health. They’re going to burn fast if used incorrectly, and certainly faster than an eweb.
I think it’s fine. I plan on using it with my pack of vets I’ll buy.
If comparing to the basic Rebel Troopers + Z6 corps foundation, you're paying 17 extra points to gain Surge to attack and Critical 2.
But you're losing 2 white dice (pfft) and you get Defend 1 instead of Nimble.
Nimble seems stronger, unless you always are issuing an order to the Veterans and don't have to use a Dodge action on their activation, but then you also won't get the token back when spending it.
Do we know what the heavy weapon options are?

Yeah, it's in the Spanish version of the picture.
4 white, Critical 2, range 1-3
Don't think there is another one.
Edit: checked the preview image, there is only 1 heavy option mini.

The other is the turret you can take. Correct me if I'm wrong, but detachment prevents you from taking a heavy in the squad itself.

Yeah I was referring only to the heavy weapon mini in that upgrade slot.
There is nothing under Detachment or Emplacement Troopers in the RRG that says you can't take the heavy weapon mini & the detachment: Emplacement trooper.

That thing is spendy but critical 2 is pretty legit. Especially with surge to hit

Yeah, I wonder if people will revert to one or the other, the heavy mini, or the Emplacement, as opposed to both.
I mean, the Emplacement is only 7 points more than the heavy mini, also has Critical 2, better dice, but has the drawback of being Fixed, etc. I'm excited to get a couple boxes and try them out in any combination.
Critical X does seem like their best ability.
The emplacement, though fragile, could add a lot to sharpshooter attacks
Disappointed that there are no range 4 weapons. Seems like Rebels could have used one.
Rebels have the FD Lasercannon with range 4, though 😂
Anyone click next and see the gopro footage of the tiger chasing down the moped?
I like rebel veterans. Pretty solid for 48 pts naked.

And Pathfinders config haha

I am correcting you because you are wrong. The full rules for Detachment are already in the most recent rules reference guide and it has nothing to that effect.
Now that I know all this I'll buy 6.

Just a pity that it sucks up a corps slot.

be aware that if you are going to play the emplacement trooper you only need 3 because the emplacement counts as an additional corps unit

Actually 7 might be ideal. I mean you can only have 3 Support so I also need 5 units of tauntauns.
Edit: Although, this brings up an interesting possibility for my natural laziness. I could paint 6 squads of veterans but only 3 of the Mark II blasters.
The theoretical 7th squad is to paint in Scariff colors what with all those quilted hats the veterans wear. I'd still want to paint that Mark II Blaster as well.

You have to run corps with the E-Web due to force structure requirements, so that's that much of a change. And 3 HP isn't that much worse off than 4, especially for the price.

They have white dice with defensive surges, so they're about what, 17% less likely to roll a block than the E-Web, and have one fewer HP. Conversely, they're twenty points cheaper, and have more reliable die, and have fire support. Over all, I'd say that more than makes up for the slightly worse defense.
I'm not sure why they didn't just make this a separate unit, and give it a generator upgrade like the other two emplacement troopers, OR allow them to be used separately as such. That would have been a great chance to tack on a generator upgrade card that then fixed the E-Web and cannon.
It has a comms slot, comms relay will be really good if you run multiple veterans.
