(25) Gold Squadron Trooper [V-19 Torrent Starfighter]
Points: 25

Total points: 192

With 8 points to spare, how would you finish up this squadron? This could possibly accommodate:

- Juke on Padmé

- CLT + Sense on Lumi

- Some mix of astromechs for the ladies

- Some reinforcements on Sinker

- Promoting Golden Troopers to Dedicated Blues

Your favourite flavour?

As a matter of general principle an upgrade that comes with a ship is usually pretty good on a ship. I'd be inclined to throw R2-A6 on Padme and save the two points for a bid.

Alternately maybe the GSTs up to BSPs (+3 points) with Dedicated (+1) to take you to 200 if my grasp of the point changes is good. This list isn't really my "style" though.

Well, the droid is a good fit for Ric and Dineé. Their pilot abilities at least care about the exact manoeuvre on the dial. Then again, I think we'll all quickly come to realise the N-1 will desperately stick to 3-speed manoeuvres for sake of their Full Throttle, making the 6 points investment to occasionally bump it down to 2 or push for 4 straight is going to be... sub optimal.

This is one of the options I've considered. It doubles-down on the 'can't touch this' attitude of the lady pilots combo. Hopefully, with 5 ships total and Sinker re rolls, it could carry the threat of a death by a thousand paper cuts.

I think you've got it backwards. You're going to want the droid to bump your twos up to threes. You can't pick a 3 speed every turn without it coming back to bite you eventually.

I think the 2 blues with Dedicated is good, your opponent will likely be aiming for Padme or Lumi first so even if the Torrents get strain you can clear it with a blue maneuver next round.

I second this.

The list having a Beef theme but beeing a swarm with some aces in it, so its like Republic Beef Swarm Deluxe.

Im not sure if i will like to fly it, but on paper it seems quite strong.

Keep your Arcs on your opponents and wear them down steadily

Can you pair Saesee Tiin and the R2-A6 together? Since both texts say "set dial" id assume you can change the bearing with Tiin and the speed with R2-A6

You sure should be able to.

Two slightly alternate builds:

1) Swap out "Sinker" for "Wolffe" and you now have 12 points to play with.

2) Swap out "Sinker" for Squad Seven Veteran and you now have 16 points to play with.

Maybe look at Clone Commander Cody for the ARC-170? He works with all of the ARC's nicely, but would be really fun here with "Wolffe" and Juke on Padmé. Shoot first with "Wolffe", hand out Strain on a miss, so the defender rolls 1 less green die. Padmé Jukes one of the remaining dice to a focus result. ... Profit! :)

I find Cody counterproductive when coupled with Padme. Throwing less dice means higher chances for just one focus results to show up, making Padmé's ability irrelevant.

Beside that, Wolffe could be a decent pick as it's a "standalone" unit and levels the initiative with the ladies. Sinker was my choice to increase relevance of GSTs.
