I wasn't expecting this to be out in a store here I Sweden but it sure was a welcoming surprise.

The classes feel more advanced and I'm not sure if these are okay for an early-era of the clone wars.

I don't remember which page it was but they had one piece of artwork that looked really bad/lazy. The one with an AT-TE and the three stock footages of clone troopers near it's legs. I felt that one was very jarring.

...where in Sweden did you find this, if I may ask?

Anyone in the UK had any luck finding this in the wild yet?

Nope. :(

Pre-ordered... still waiting

Science Fiction Bokhandeln (bookstore) in Gothenburg.

You can see the availability here:

https://www.sfbok.se/produkt/collapse-of-the-republic-194753

To have a book not available for post order or in the other cities is super unusual. I wonder if they made a super special deal to have the book exclusively in Gothenburg or if it was a mistake.

Vad i helvete... That is really wierd... Almost makes me consider getting someone in GB to pick it up and mail it to me, but I'll try to wait for my ordered copy to arrive instead. 🤔

Asmodee just announced next week’s UK games releases. And CotR isn’t on it...

star wars no GIF

Just got the message from Asmodee UK, the book's being released this Thursday!

Hopefully I will get before my next game on Saturday.

I doubt you will. It's on Esdevium's release sheet for this week, but marked as "Releasing July 28th". Shiny Games are showing a release date of July 31st. Hopefully that means we'll be getting our pre-order copies next week.

I ordered mine from Magic Madhouse, and today they updated the status to dispatching Wednesday, so it should be on my doorstep by week's end.

Went Gameslore myself and they have very quick turn around.

That's interesting - Esdevium are owned by Asmodee, same as FFG, so you'd expect their release dates to be exact.

Mine came a couple of days ago. Great book, should have avoided the spoilers though ¬_¬

Mine turned up last Friday in the end 🤣 Release dates, who needs 'em.

Welp, just got to wait for gadgets and gear now!

That's going to be a few months at least. It's still "In Development", and even when a book's been printed it's usually a couple of months before release. Hopefully we'll have it by Christmas.

Well stuff has been teleporting from in developement to shipping now lately. Have to ask @Absol197 what the in developement to shipping now time has been lately.

I really, really hope that Gadgets and Gear isn't the last SWRPG book we see this year. Nothing else this year? Surely not.

FFG did say earlier in the year that they were scaling back book production, with the focus shifting more towards era books rather than books for the individual product lines.

So odds are that G&G is going to be the last book we see this year.

How do the current eras work out?

I know it used to go the old republic era rise of the empire, rebellion era, and such

What do they do now?

I imagine we will be getting a book on the post-Endor era, a book on the sequel trilogy era and maybe - if they really love me and LucasFilm isn't being a bunch of grouches - an Old Republic era book. Which is kind of a shame because my favorite releases so far have actually been the 'sector' books, namely Lords of Nal Hutta and Suns of Fortune. I'd also like some new adventures because Ghosts of Dathomir was... meh?
