I'm new to the game and still learning. Decided to download and watch the FFG video stream of the Worlds final game between Luke and Kyle. It appears that the terrain was set up and ready for them or did I miss them setting it up?

Wondering, if it was set up and ready for them then what would have happened if one of them had a Heavy in their list? The terrain doesn't look like it has room for a Heavy to maneuver.

There was little fear of there being a heavy on that table at worlds....

I totally read that as Luke and Kylo...

But what if? Would the rules allow the player with the Heavy to adjust the terrain before the game?

Also, it seems unbalanced if they were so sure Heavies weren't going to be there.

The terrain was pre setup by our Marshal for the tournament, Brendon Franz, and the game devs. Our lists were known by that point so there was definitely no heavies on the board, but I think they could’ve maneuvered fine. Maybe. Most the stuff on the table a tank can just walk right over.

Can't get a better reply than from the man playing the game! I need to read up more on game setup and Tank and AT-ST movement. Was just wondering if terrain at Worlds level was set up by players like in X-Wing.

I’m surprised it isn’t, the skill for choosing terrain to support your approach is such a key part of the game.

Generally at tournaments the terrain is preset. I've seen some formats for legion that let you bring barricades but I've nver seen one that let's you move terrain. Heavies (everything, really) CAN go on top of terrain, if you didn't know.
