I'm mid way Season 3 on Rebels (the series). I'm considering the posibility of getting a Ghost and Phantom/s, since I aldeady have all the cardboard and cards from the Rebel Conversion Kit.

My question is about the models. I see that the 1.0 Ghost expansion came with the Attack Shuttle, both as a stand alone ship and docked/embeded in the Ghost model. There is also a 1.0 standalone Sheatipede shuttle model.

On the other hand, the 2.0 Ghost expansion pack seems that will come with a docking Sheatipede shuttle, to use docked or standalone, but no sign of the Attack Shuttle model.

So, not sure what to do. Geting all 1.0 models (since I got the cards and bases already) would seem the simplest option. But I read that the 1.0 Ghost model had problems staying upright, and of course the shuttle does not dock...

Not sure what to do... I guess the 2.0 model will also be better sculpted/painted... but there is no way I'm getting 2 Ghost's just for the Shuttles... Does someone know if the 1.0 Attack Shuttle can dock in the 2.0 model? I would asume not.

Any suggestion? Anyone else with similar doubts?

😂 sorry! The 1.0 models don’t physically dock.

The answer is we don’t know if

a) the shuttle models can dock

b) even if the Ghost is releasing with the Sheathipede for sure

c) when the other shuttle would receive a release

Its all speculation my friend

The correct answer is to get both versions.

This is confirmed, it is in the upcoming products.

And no, Im not getting 2 Ghosts.

I do wish that the 2.0 Ghost release came with both a Sheathipede and Attack Shuttle that could dock, but the latter probably has too many moving parts for that to work.

Perhaps there is another angle to my question: is there any reason to fly an attack shuttle over the Sheatipede? I have no collector syndrome and would be happy with having one option if the other would never see gameplay.

Sabine and Hera are both bonkers good but very fragile, Zeb is the cheapest Rebel 3-attack in the game and fits with 4 X-Wings. Ezra might be good with a points drop (especially for Sense with Kanan's protection) though his Sheathipede is probably better. Both have their ups and downs and both are very useful, but fragile.

We really don't know much about the Wave 5 Ghost product and we don't know anything about releases beyond that. Many suspect there will be a separate Attack Shuttle expansion with two versions of the Attack Shuttle (wings open and closed) so it can slot into the Ghost or be flown separately. Others speculate that the closed Attack Shuttle model will be included in the Ghost pack as non-functional decoration, but it's a pretty dubious proposition (there was a picture of a ghost with docked attack shuttle at Celebration but it may have just been the 1.0 model or an out-of-date prototype). I doubt they would make us buy 2 Ghosts to get both shuttles. One or the other has to come out individually at some point

Yes, we know the pack includes both. We only don't know how the Attack Shuttle will be made available because it hasn't been announced yet.

You’ll find both a VCX-100 light freighter miniature and a Sheathipede -class shuttle miniature that can physically dock with the larger ship in this expansion, giving you the freedom to fly them separately or as a powerful combined force.

So that covers half of a) and c); and all of b), however c) is a good question and probably pertains to the OP the most. Who knows if/when the attack shuttle is coming.

I find the sheathipede is more useful in the rebel salad that's going around right now. That being said after another points change Sabine and Hera might look great in the attack shuttle.

Depends what you want; sheathipede is support, attack shuttle is more of a lone wolf ship.

Docked the attack shuttle gives you an extra rear red die, the sheath gives you a coordinate. Hope that helps OP.
