Vicious and Critcal Hits (not Critical Injuries)

By HappyDaze, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Help me resolve this discrepancy:

"Vicious: When this weapon scores a Critical Injury or Hit, the character adds ten times the Vicious rating to the Critical roll. With Vicious 3, for example, the victim adds + 30 to his Critical Injury or Hit result" (FaDCore, p. 164).

"Note that talents and qualities that specifically affect Critical Injuries do not affect Critical Hits (so the Vicious quality, for example, would have no effect on a ship or vehicle" (FaDCore, p. 244).

I am asking because the Flak Cannon has Vicious ratings that would effectively be meaningless if they do not apply to Critical Hits.

personal scale vs ship scale. Ship scale vicious does apply to critical hits on vehicles.

But the rulebook both calls out it works on Injuries (people) and Hits (vehicles), and then says it doesn't later.

Legit question for the devs. That is an error that should be in the errata.

I assume the example is wrong and Vicious works on both.

I would do it on both and I think the second quote is for things like the martial artist stopping them from punch crits on ships.

I have sent it in for clarification. I imagine that the answer is On the Boat...

@HappyDaze

If it helps, Genesys dropped that last section in the text. It explicitly states Critical Hit or Injury.

I got an answer from Customer Service that the second piece of text was a mistake and that Vicious does work on Critical Hits.
