VSD WIP

By WalrusofDoom, in Star Wars: Armada Painting and Modification

Working on a paint scheme for my Imperials. The front of the ship is what the end result for the entire base of the hull will be. The metallic is actually a bit darker in person. Most of the raised bits are going to be either a lighter silver or a copper color like the falcon at the bottom.

I like the Silver look on the Vic. I'm excited to see it when it is done!

Have some more of the Victory done. Now I'm trying to figure out whether the end result actually looks that much better than the same without the watch. It took quite a long time and it was a lot of effort to get all the panels done. Thoughts? plF4F63.jpg LJyXDXh.jpg

I very much like the Quasar color scheme! It has a very fine silver tone while the other two look more titan color...

This color really fits the Arq and the Quasar, but it looks odd to me on the VSD.

The silver probably looks odd on the vic because I did the silver, did a wash and then went over the panels individually again. I'd probably have to do another layer to get it to look right, but at this point I don't think it's worth the effort.

I ended up finding a better metallic to use for the base coat, so I completely redid it. Here is a test of the color scheme I'm going for. Ended up not doing a wash since it was way too much work for the end result I got. It's a bit sloppy since I'm going to have to redo the model anyway since my varnish didn't go on right and made the base coat a little bubbly. Overall I like how the concept is coming out so far. I'll have to try it on my ISD since the varnish came out better. End goal is to do this on my SSD. YOYIavq.jpg UHKzvUt.jpg rVoMLv5.jpg
