Interesting.. each background holds significense to each person:

Rey- Han/Falcon, Leia.

Kylo- Vader

Rose- pendant shared with her sister

Snoke- .......? Dagobah? Yggdrasil? Living Force?

Maybe has something to do with those force trees that we saw in Star Wars: Shattered Empire.

Also, surely that looks like one of the thrones we've seen him on?

Comics.

Marvel did a serie called 'Age of the Republic' and then another called 'Age of the Rebellion'. Now they are doing 'Age of Resistance'.

Each comic book is centered around a different character and they are doing both Heroes and Villains. I read the Republic comics and they are alright. Waiting for the Rebellion ones to come out in paperback format.
