I’m pretty new, so any tips are appreciated. Been flying twin-Jedi, twin-Gold Squadron V-19 lists mostly, but can still count the number of games I’ve played on one hand.

Picked up an ARC-170 this week and would like to give it a try (I’ve never flown a medium-base ship before). Disclaimer: I joined this league late, so I’m mostly looking to have fun and learn; it’s OK if I’m not super competitive.

Also, there’s no bid because I’ve lost pretty much every bid so far and would probably need to go down to around 190 to win, which strikes me as a lot in Republic lists because of 7B’s cost.

Hello! I've been playing Republic a lot lately and really like the faction. Can't wait to try the Naboo and have a bit more options. Solid list, especially Mace and Anakin. Cody on the 104th doesn't help for attacks, unless your opponent forgets or (really) doesn't want to do a blue maneuver on their next turn. My go-to ARC-170 pilot is Wolffe. Here are some ideas:

For something very solid, but you'd need 2 more ARC-170 (I have 2 Republic ones but also used my Rebel-faction one):

Very simple, only two upgrades, and very tanky. I like Medium-base ships. Got to top 8 at our recent Hyperspace Trials with this list.

My store only had one on the shelf and I’ve probably expended my X-Wing budget for now. Could borrow more but this will be the debut of my “own” ships (been using lenders). Certainly interested in filling out my fleet going forward, but yeah, just one.

A single ARC is fine. I have 2 and I don’t use the other one.

Thanks for the advice all. I was going to run Cody on Wolffe, but ended up forgetting the card at home. Arrived early enough for a warm up game in which a proxy Cody was pretty useless, so I dropped him off the list and played with a 3-point bid.

Went 2-1 and took third place for the evening, but more importantly, I had a really great time. ARCs are fun!

The Republic has two archetypes for lists, Quad ARCs and Not enough ARCs.

Cody has to go on a ship that will shoot early. Like a ship with sync console. You don't spend your TL. "Miss," use Cody to give the strain, and pass the lock to a teammate. Now one of those low points torrents is shooting missiles at I1 with full mods at a reduced agility target with no tokens. "They're doing their job so we can do ours."
