Advanced sensors clarification

By Darth Darxide, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Under any circumstances, can adv sens grant a linked action or an ability such as IG-88c?

just trying to make sure me and my group are playing it correctly.

No it cannot.

Negative. "Cannot perform another action" is pretty full stop on further actions, no matter where they come from, during your activation. That's the cost of performing your action before you move.

Advanced Droid Brain works with it, because it provides a free token, not an action, but C's ability doesn't.

Thanks everyone 🍻

The sort of exception would be that AS does not stop free tokens. A couple examples of such:

If Lt Sai equipped w/ ST-321 title coordinates a friendly using AS he would not get the copy action from his pilot ability, but he will still get to aquire a lock from the title ability.

A ship equipped with rebel C-3PO or any of the IG pilots calculates using AS will still get the second token because it is not from another action.

Another note: the Advanced Sensors restriction is absolute, but only while that ship is still active . Once the AdvS ship is done, and another ship activates, something like Coordinate or Lando's pilot ability could grant an additional action (or more, if the ship can link).

i mean, that's pretty much stated on the card with "during your activation". Once your activation is over, the card is done and no longer applies.

To be sure it's right there on the card. But the quick way of saying Advanced Sensors is "you can't do any more actions" and it seems easy to elide that into being unable to be coordianted or such.

Redline is a dream with AS

Never mind, I figured it out
