So if I use two vamblades would it still affect attacking with both even though it says they are normally wielded as a pair? Also man i wrong for visualizing them as Assassins Creed hidden blades? I keep trying to think of them as something else but there’s no image of them anywhere and my brain won’t think of anything else. And finally are they vibro blades? And if not what would it take to make them as such?
Vamblade Help
Vamblades are interesting as they are not well defined. I could see them as an under wrist Assassins Creed hidden blade, or as an above wrist predator style weapon. The nice part of this system is that any of these would work. All could be built to be retractable (although it may cost more), and all could be hidden under the right circumstances.
I'd view the price per vamblade and follow normal combat rules. If you attack with 1, normal attack. If you attack with both, follow 2 weapon fighting rules.
I would not consider them as vibro blades. Although I'd allow modifications to make them a vibro weapon. Vibro weapons tend to add Pierce 2, vicious 1 at the cost of 1 or 2 HP by the look of things. Add a cost for the attachment and you're good to go. Looks to be about 200-250.
So make a Vibro modification attachment. 150 credits. 1 HP. Adds pierce 1. Mods: Pierce 1, and vicious 1.
As always, read the full text of the item in question to understand it. It's all explained there. Page 48 of Dangerous Covenants.
Thanks you for replying.
I know the book and page number. It didn’t answer anything that I had asked here. It simply says you gain the bonus while wielding two even if not using both on one turn. Nothing about if the second attack has the same as fighting with two weapons.
Edited by CG1991Okay.
As long as you have a pair of Vamblades extended, you gain the Accurate 1 and Sunder qualities, regardless of whether or not you attack with both.
If you attack with both, you still follow all Two-Weapon Fighting rules (+1 Difficulty).

The thing with the RAW, and this is common in all RPG RAWs, is that they assume you know and apply all the normal rules unless specifically mentioned otherwise. They do it for space reasons as well as to not repeat rules for every instance so both Players and GMs should always assume all normal rules apply to every piece of equipment, Talent, Power, Attack, etc. first then see if there is an exception. Also FFGSW can be a bit inconsistent and some of it's mechanics are spread over several chapters and it's easy to understand why people could and do miss, misread, or misapply the RAW sometimes. And let's be honest, a lot of players and even some GMs haven't actually read every page of game mechanics, they skim or not bother with the very basics because they've played it before or think they know more than they do. Plus reading game rules can be like studying for a test and we all know how fun that can be...
