IF we go off based on the quick builds and quick builds aren't always exact: BB-8 on Rey anybody?
Pod: 1 Crew, Elite, Cannon, Modification
Transport: 3 Crew Slots (Cova's has Leia and Korr), Elite, Astromech, Torpedoes, Cannon, Modification
Everything seems reasonable cept the 3 slot on the Transport, 2 for sure I think but 3 is pushing it.

Therein lies the balance. Its possible but 2 transports even with this combo seems really bad.
You can get a similar effective stack with Sai (ST321) with Palp and Jendon with Grand Inquisitor and Minister Tua.
Sai activates and coordinates a focus action to Jendon and takes a focus action with his ability, ST-321 gives him a lock on a ship at R3 of Jendon, and keeps palps force for a board wide mod > Jendon activates and coordinates Sai for a reinforce, he can then wait for Inky to trigger and perform a red lock action, or keep the force token for mods, and wait for Tua to trigger and get a red reinforce.
By the start of the engagement phase you will have 2 focus, 1/2 locks, 1/2 force tokens, and 1/2 reinforce tokens. Its possible, but almost 130pts on 2 Lamdas is a terrible idea.
Edited by BVRCHOkay I went back to the stream match they had with wave 4 stuff and I think each list was at 200 points. Number in parentheses are my guesses as we know that some of the stuff we know equals 88 points.
Pammich Nerro Goode (38): Auto Blaster (3), Kaydel Connix (5)
Logistics Division Pilot (35): C-3PO 6
Rose Tico (25): GA-97 (6)
Jaycriss Tubbs 50: Integrated S-foils 0
Blue Squadron Recruit 32
Remwmber these are my guesses but should give an idea how much some of the stuff costs.

**** 3 crew slots?? I was only calculating for 2 on the transport. This could be a very interesting Resistance party bus.

I think the three crew slots is an example of quick build cards “breaking the rules,” and I don’t see the Transport getting more than 2 crew slots.
I also don’t think the Pod will get a cannon slot. The description of the pod explicitly states that you sacrifice firepower to field it, plus the cannon on the transport is on the opposite side as the pod, rather than the pod itself. I know BB-8’s quick build has autoblasters, but I just don’t see it. Autoblasters are one thing, but being able to equip an HLC on a pod with “less firepower”?
As for torps, that could also be a “quick build only” upgrade, but the ship does come with plasma torpedoes, and since only one other Resistance ship can equip torps, it seems an odd card to throw in just to give the faction access to it.
Edit: if I am wrong, and the transport has 3 crew slots, that’s going to open up some VERY interesting options.
Edited by FatherTurinI could see the transport getting three slots. It's a dedicated troop carrier and support ship that they stuffed a lot of people into in the Last Jedi. The dial looks like the result of a drunken one-night-stand between a G1-A and a Quadjumper. I have a hard time envisioning any three-crew combo that would break it.

Hopefully 3 other T-70s will be a thing. Baristan really lacks for an I 2 buddy, which he's finally found in coordination station
Really?
Poe with a coordinating buddy gives him potentially 4 actions a round.
Plus Holdo can strip the stress off of him. Poe is finally gonna be worth 68 points.
As for 3 T-70’s, I was playing Bastian, Jess, Snap and L’ulo list for a while and it was fairly solid list.
If points allow I may try it with a transport instead.

Incorrect; his ability uses a recurring charge, so max 3 unless he has two coordinated actions.
Eh, well actually I suppose you're saying he could: cooridnated Boost -> Poe for lock, reveal a blue, roll -> focus.
If Holdo removes a stress at engagement he could theoretically do it again. That's... really interesting but maybe not worth it?

🤨
I honestly can’t tell if you are serious. Granted, I haven’t played a huge number of 2.0 games (and no 2.0 tourneys), but every time I have taken Poe he has more than pulled his own weight. Even full on 87 point Poe with BB-8, Primed Thrusters and Heroic gets work done and is a blast to fly.
Plus, I don’t follow the competitive scene as much as I did in 1.0, but isn’t Poe and some A-Wings one of the top 3 Resistance lists, along with Resistance 5s and 5 A-Wings?
Edit: apparently the flavor of the month is Poe, Nien and L’ulo.

Poe Coordinated to focus, link action barrel roll. Activates, sorts S-foils. Blue move, clears stress. Boosts, triggers ability, target locks. Gain stress.
Holdo removes stress at activation.
Next round.
Coordinate Poe, target lock and boost using ability. Activate, close S-foils, Blue move, clear stress. Focus - link action barrel roll to get bullseye arc.
Holdo clears stress.
4 actions a turn.
Using Holdo this way might not be great. But you could feed Poe tokens he’s already spent to use in defence. If you’re facing a lower ini list that is.

Personally I think Nien is a better choice in a list at the moment.
You get just as much out of him without the stress every round.
The new transport will help tho.

Fair enough. As a counterpoint I would just say that with all of Poe’s repositioning shenanigans and the Transport’s dial, it may end up being difficult to keep Poe within Range 2 of an unstressed Holdo.
Which actually helps as a balance to how good some of these crew can be.
Also fluffy, as Poe goes zooming off, ignoring Holdo, even though she’s trying to help.
Edited by FatherTurinI know Nein is good, and usually I can see the matrix (**** I've come back from unwinnable situations with a no shield Jake) and fly these janky ships.. .but I can't figure out Nein. I don't know why I can't be effective with him... but yea...

Yes true, depends on how you want to fly him. He’s been a flanker or bait in most of the current lists. That might change now that he has a support ship to help keep him alive.
Then again Holdo on a YT would keep up just fine. Expecting those to come down in points again this adjustment, so will have to see. Lots of potential on the horizon.
Edited by Tyhar7However many actions you can get Poe,
1.) Mods are still capped at focus + lock unless you spring for Debris Gambit (voiding heroic)
2) super arcdodging just paints a giant target on the transport
So it isn't terribly impressive. Poe is relatively self-sufficient, anyway
Edited by ficklegreendiceWeird question that's probably been answered: If I want to run both the transport pod and the transport I will need two copies of the expansion correct??

Yes.

Maybe? Ask your TO.
Local event should be no issue. Larger events maybe.
But, I mean, it's pretty easy to tell what ship it is.

If it's a tournament of any kind, the safest bet would be to have all of the components. Having said that, this community is pretty generous overall. I'm certain someone in your play group would let you borrow their ship model if you needed it for an event and they didn't.
