Airen Cracken is such an amazing pilot for the point cost, I don't understand why he doesn't see more play.

rebel beef surely is going to get costed up.... named B-Wings and perhaps even Wedge. This squad is really strong even wout Leia crew.

Cracken is so points efficient that I am very skeptical the flashier aces are actually competitive against him.

And he just does this thing to your opponent, where they see you are getting action economy from him and that decide they are going to kill him before he can give too much value for his points. And - so very often - they will trade one of their prize aces to do it.

I'll never forget the time an opponent decided that it was fine to just swing in Soontir for a 4 dice attack on Cracken. I mean, why not? Off chance he'll die outright, and likely enough to push him to death's door so an academy pilot can get him later.

Cracken goes to 1 hull. He's certainly dead, but he gets a turn to shoot. Nothing to shoot at except an R3 Fighter behind a rock? Fine, sure.

Oh hey, Ten Numb is R1 from Cracken. Oh hey, Ten Numb has Soontir in arc. Oh hey, now he has both TL on Soontir and a stress point. Oh hey, who put these Proton Torpedoes in here?

3 crits and a hit after all dice mods? Well, whew, at least Soontir has those 4 green dice, who would never betray--oh dear, blanked out eh? But at least he helped kill Cracken though before that guy could give me value, m i rite?

Blount is great too. Stick Crack Shot or Predator on him and you have a pretty decent little brawler. I'd say he's the Rebel version of Gideon Hask, and just as viable.

She's very decently priced with barrage + dorsal (having extra coverage and therefore opening up your dial is essential to keeping her alive) at 45, which is pretty fine for an I 4, but she needs helps with mods and is too fragile to load up on extra stuff.

So you're basically running her with Jonus or Jendon and/or Palp

She's also the only pilot I like to put Ruthless on, because her ability might actually make it a straight 1:1 damage trade.

She's also really great with gas clouds! (Cause she don't care!)

I've had loads of fun with Kestal, she works very well with Lt. Sai (also an underrated pilot). I usually run her with Ion canon turret and Hotshot Gunner (to add insult to injury)

I very much like Kestal as well, but like Fickle says, she needs a lot going on to really qualify for underrated.

I've found opponents will quickly eliminate her if I've got the right set up to make the ability sing. So it's tricky, need some luck to get your opponent underrating her.

Just a little too expensive to be able to sneak quietly into a squad.

Ketsu for scum, Backdraft naked for FO, Watt for CIS, Blount or arvel for rebels, Delta defenders for Imps, Asoka for Republic, I can't say for resistance.

Low initiative but tough enough not to really risk getting initiative killed, and whenever his flashier, higher-initiative buddies damage someone, he gets a free target lock on them. For extra fun, throw on M9-G8 - lock your mate turn 1, make the shot better, lock their target, interfere with their fire, and then finally spend the lock to deliver a coup de grace. All without investing a single action once you're actually within range of the enemy....

Valen Rudor is my pick. Free actions during engagement is very powerful. Even with the limited action bar of the TIE/ln, he can barrel roll to potentially arc dodge or counter an arc dodge, or grab another green token for mods. Add a Talent and he can coordinate instead with Squad Leader, or get the most out of a green token stack with Juke. He seems to be bring more value than his modest cost.

This. I have minimal experience with him, but when I have used him, he is amazing. Not to mention helpful synergy with other good pilots like norra and arvel

I haven't seen many people running Nym lately. I've been running him with Dorsal, VTG, and Seismics and he is a beast. I5 so he gets to shoot early and I drop a Sesmic on the way into the engagement to deter my opponent from K-turns and generally give them second thoughts about flying toward that area of the board since I can just hold it turn after turn after turn, until Nym finally goes down(if at all.) This clocks in at 59 points. That is the same cost as Old Teroch with Fearless, but 10 health regardless of blank green dice and a range one double tap of 7 dice.

I'm going to throw my lot in with Magnus Grendal on Bastian as well. Same cost as the I3 T-70s but you gain a useful ability and drop one initiative point. He has consistently done good work for me because there are always higher priority ships to worry about like Poe and Lulo.
