Retconning that character to be rex just plain makes sense. I know people get upset about changes to canon but Nik Sant was somebody's offhand santa claus joke. Rex has an actual story and reason to be there.

This has gone back and forth so many times I can't keep track of what they consider "canon." I personally LOVE the idea of it being Rex (and love the idea of Veteran clones in the GCW) so I'm fine with him being there, I just wish they'd make up their **** mind.
