As you can see, I'm two points overbudget. Where should I shave points? Should I downgrade wedge to a different pilot? Should I swap dutch for evaan? What about arvel instead of jake? I need help finding those 2 points! Also, It has to be hyperspace legal.

Thank you!

Jettison Squad Leader on Ten (he can Focus>Red BR, and you can purposely fail the BR), or the Prockets on Jake (too expensive for a single shot).

If you feel saucy, get rid of both, which gives you fifteen points to play with. That's Selfless on both Ten and Dutch, as well as Swarm Tactics on Wedge, with change left over for EPTs for Jake or a bid.

@AceDogbert is steering you the right way.

Don't forget the S-foils on Wedge.

I personally like Ten better than Braylen, but Braylen is a better pilot (re-rolls on both offense/defense).

Thank you! Shaving SL is definitely the right choice now that I think about it! I was thinking though, is elusive a better choice over selfless? (On ten) It gives him braylen-esque abilities (reroll on defense+dutch TL) but makes dutch a more appealing target. Also, in general, is HLC on ten a good idea?

Mmm... most of the time you want to stress Ten (or Braylen) by doing the focus to linked red barrel roll. That won't recharge your Elusive. Elusive only recharges on red maneuvers. The Focus+Ten's ability is better: one pseudo-focus (spending the stress) for attack + one real focus for defense.

Imagine this: Wedge gets locked by your opponent's Luke. Luke is carrying Proton Torpedoes. You have arc on Luke and shoot him for one damage. Now Luke fires back: Hit, Hit, Focus, Blank. He uses the lock to re-roll the blank to a focus and uses 2 Force to flip the Focus' to Hits, and Pro Torps one of the hits to a crit. Wedge rolls two natural evades! But oh no! There are still Critical Hits coming your way. Thank the maker you've got both Ten & Dutch at your side loaded with Selfless. Each one takes one of the crits into their shields and saves Wedge from being crippled or worse. Wedge has R2 Astro in his back pocket and can gain back those two shields when the time is right.

And now Ten and Dutch have a shot a Luke...

Selfless is a great Talent. It's fantastic on B-wings or any other ship with so many shields.

If you want Braylen-esque abilities, just take Braylen. He's one point more. Drop a shield upgrade to a hull upgrade. Bingo-Bango!

I don't have any personal experience with HLC on a B-wing, but getting a bulls-eye at Rannge 2-3 isn't in my wheelhouse; it takes a certain talent.

---------------------------------------------

All in all, the best thing you can do is just to put the ships on the table and try it; the lists themselves aren't going to win you games. Experience is going to do that for you.

Good luck!

Given that the B-Wing will only ever really be throwing one evade dice, Elusive is of little benefit. If you want rerolls, as @Force Majeure said, take Braylen.

HLC isn't worth it, in my opinion. Too difficult to get the bullseye, and you can't get crits from it. I'd take a Jamming Beam; it's free, and could be situationally useful (say if there is a reinforced target at range two; you'd most likely only deal two damage, one of which would be nullified. By jamming off the reinforce, it allows your other initiative four ships to deal damage unimpeded).

If you are gonna be flying these guys in formation, probably better to take AP5 with leia crew than Jake. Jake is a freebird that needs room to maneuver.

Edit: ap5 will be hyperspace legal shortly
