is 1st edition still supported?

By CapitanGuinea, in X-Wing

as you can see here

FFG/Asmodee has a quite extensive effort to support the first edition of X-Wing miniatures, and it is quite a lot of time since the 2nd is out there. Coming from wargame, when a day 1, the old edition disappear and die, this is quite strange to me. Do you think it is just to sell the remaining stuff on their stocks? Or they plan a serious effort on this?

It’s just to sell off what’s left. I find it incredibly unlikely they are still doing 1.0 reprints.

That's pure legacy stuff, it's exactly as it was when 2e came out. There's no particular reason for them to turn it off.

Yea.. Most likely its just a sell off of old stock..

No tournaments are using 1e stuff. nothing official at conventions is either.

The short answer is No. Not in any official capacity.

The last FAQ was the last thing I'm aware of that supports 1e.

Anyone wanting to play 1e probably should have that doc.

They're full-price there. Shop around for models to use with the 2e conversion kits, and you're laughing.

But, when was the last announcement for 1e that wasn't a FAQ? Before 2e dropped, I expect.

As said, these models listed on the FFG 1e page are old stock. When they're gone, they're gone.

Let 1st edition die. I'll let someone else post the one from Kylo about "kill it if you have to".
