Has anyone had success with 4 babies with Barrage and Proton Bombs (+ Sabine on one)?

I’ve seen it here and there but is it decidedly tier 2? I’d love to give it a go, do we think that’s the best set up for them?

I've seen it flown, to mixed success. It is reasonably durable, as most lists would struggle to keep guns on a single one long enough to confirm a kill (Ks have just enough health to make killing one in a single round unlikely), while the damage potential is decent enough.

I'd say that the list is a middle-of-the-road thing because there is little to no dice modification going on (outside of potential bullseye rerolls on the Barrage Rockets, but that eats shots), as well as requiring focus tokens to use the rockets. If your opponent has low initiative blockers, or otherwise positions their fighters well, the K-wings will wind up bumped into one another, which is not a healthy place for them to be.

All that said, if you've got the ships, may as well give it a try, as the list can make some setups sweat especially those which feature fragile aces.

Is there a 2/3 + something else set up that I might consider?

I notice Fat Han fits well with a couple of them, but might bring something a little less meta out to casual night. Dash with Trick Shot and Kanan fits with 2 K's with Barrage and no bombs - could be a thing?

I do like the idea of all the carpet bombing though!

I've not seen the K-Wing used in anything other than a block of 4 in 2.0, so I can't comment on whether or not it would be effective. I'd lean towards no, however; the 4 block works as they provide mutual support to one another due to overlapping firing arcs in almost every direction, as well as simplicity of operation (they all move and shoot in the same initiative).

Casual night is a great place to try different combos, give it a try and see! Don't forget to let us know how it goes.

Will do! Looking for other 3rd ship options also, I have tried Luke and he was solid. I know Han would be good but I'm sure there's other options I haven't considered.

I do notice that Predator Corran Horn and 3x Barrage K's fits at exactly 200. If Corran comes down a little on the 25th I might be able to squeeze an astro on him also, with R2 on there that list seems pretty solid.

3 Barrage/Proton + Wedge fits, with 1 spare point.

Faan has, try youtube for his games, system open cuts.

Two 4 K-Wings lists made Top16 at the Bologna SoS, both played by very good players.
