Corellian Conflict Campaign Builds : Newbie requests advice

By Trillium2, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

For anybody who has already played things through the Corellian campaign once or a few times, can you see any purchases I would need to add to my collection to have 3 great Rebel and three great Imperial fleets? In my game group, I am the only person who owns a ny Armada ships. If we are playing Armada, it is with what I have purchased and brought. So far, that has worked well enough. I’d like to play through the Corellian conflict campaign soon. I’d like to have 3v3. I am not sure whether my collection has enough ships yet for the final battle. Here’s what I have right now:

Imperials:

ISD x 2
Chimaera ISD x 1
VSD x 5
Interdictor x 2
GSD x 3
Arquitens x 2
Raider x 4
Gozantis 2 flotillas
Imperial Light Carrier x 2
Rogues and Villains x 3
Imperia Fighters I x 2
28 Pegs of Tie Fighter squads

I am planning to purchase an SSD and 2 sets of the Imperial Fighters II.

Rebels:

MC80 x 2
MC75 x 2
Liberty x 2
Phoenix Home (Pelta) x 2
Assault Frigate Mk II x 2
MC30c x 3
GR75 2 flotillas
Hammerheads x 2 sets
Nebulon B x 5
CR90 x 6
Rogues and Villains x 2
Rebel Fighters I x 2
20 Pegs of X-Wing squads

I am planning to add 2 sets of the Rebel Fighters II.

I will also be adding the new campaign materials – was it called “Rebellion In the Rim”? or something like that? - when it becomes available, so I will have those objective, squad and upgrade cards as well.

I have some time this summer to try and put together fleet lists. One of the players is likely to look over the rules in greater details and perhaps build his own fleet list, but the others will all appreciate having some designs and ideas handed to them to start. When I do that, I might decide I need to add some things so that I can optimize three solid “500 point final fleet” visions to try and play towards. For anybody who has already played things through once or a few times, though, can you see any obvious purchases I would need to fill to have 3 great Rebel and three great Imperial fleets?

At least one, but more like two flotillas for each side, maybe even three. And one additional set of squadron I and II sets for both sides. These I think are essential.

And if you have additional resources, an ISD, an Arquitens, an MC30 and a Hammerhead. But those only to open more options for fleet building. You will be perfectly capable to play without them.
