Scum Points Adjustments you would like to see...

What would you like to see for Scum?

Here is my wish list:

  1. Moldy crow title reduced in points. It started at 12. 18 is too much. I think 14-15pts would be about right. Alternatively reduce Palobs cost by 3-4pts, Same for Torkil. Dropping the pilots avoids autobuffing rebels pilots so im leaning towards the pilots. Palob is a nice foil for Juke too.
  2. Firespray pilots other than Boba could be dropped 5pts each... maybe just two from Emon. boba is ok as is.
  3. khirax fighter needs help. Talonbane is ok as is but the rest should be a few points cheaper. Would be nice to see them get a super cheap modification. having three mod slots is just wasted here.
  4. generic starvipers and generic fang fighters could be a few points cheaper. low init pilots need s buff.
  5. 4-LOM and Zuckus need some love. neither is quite good enough to use without upgrades. making them both a few points cheaper would get them back on the table. 4-LOM with advanced sensors and title used to be a staple ship for scum.

Cost adjusting mod slots. I.e. first mod slot used is at normal cost, second is -1 point third is -2 points. That gives a strong incentive to the multi slot ships to actually use the slots.

Drop all Scyks by 1 point, reduce Inaldra by an extra point.

Fangs:

Zealous recruit - No change

Skull Squadron - Drop 2 points (do we really want quad fearless Fangs)

Joy rekoff - Her ability requires spending 6-12 points! Drop her by 3 points and she's paying 7 points over a Skull Squadron pilot for her ability/ion torpedos

Kad Solus - Drop 1 point

Old Teroch - increase 1 point

Fenn Rau - No change

Reduce all firesprays except Boba by 2 points, reduce Kath Scarlet by an extra 2 points.

Reduce All G1-As by 1 point except 4-LOM

Reduce all HWK-290 pilots by two, reduce Dace Bonearm by an extra point. But leave Palob and title alone.

Reduce all JM5Ks by 5 points, except Dengar. Reduce Dengar by 3 points.

Kihraxzs drop 1 point, named pilots drop an extra point except Talonbane.

(I'd like to see something more interesting using an increasing discount on multiple mods, 2 mods = -3 points, 3 mods = -6 points but we won't see that for along time I expect)

Reduce all Lancer pilots by 2, drop ASSAJ by an extra 2.

Drop all Kimogila by 1 point, drop named pilots by an extra point.

Drop Foreman Proach (Named Mg Tie pilot) by 2 points.

Reduce All Quadjumper pilots to 31 except Unkar Plutt who says at 33.

Drop Sol Sixxa by 1 point.

Reduce all Starviper pilots by 1 except Guri. Reduce Xizor by an extra 3.

Reduce all YV-666 pilots by 3 points. Reduce Latts Razzi by an extra 2.

Reduce all Z-95 pilots by one (To match rebels price as the illicit slot costs two point minimum to put a highly dubious upgrade on OR reduce all illicits by 1) Reduce name Z-95 pilots by 1 regardless.

Reduce escape craft by 1, reduce ORP and Lando by an extra point.

Reduce all Scum falcons by a single point except Han Solo.

Aggressor:

IG-88 A - reduce by 1 point

IG-88 B - reduce by 2 points

IG-88 C - reduce by 1 point

IG-88 D - reduce by 2 points

Y-Wing

Reduce hired Gun by 1 point.

Phew.... Took a while!

Generally I'd rather see 1/2 point changes, and only a 4-5 point swing in extreme cases.

You might have saved time there by just typing "I want the entire faction reduced by 1-2 points".

Gunner on Asajj and another crew on Dengar.

I was curious if anyone would post "X is too cheap, we don't need that crutch, make it 5 points more expensive".

The universal truth of reactive game balancing; if a player calls for a buff, it's a unit/upgrade/character they use. If the same player calls for a nerf, it's a unit/upgrade/character used against them.

I've been dealing with it since Starcraft. It'll never end.

Quadjumpers - Sarco Plank 30, Unkar Plutt 30, Jakku Gunrunner 31, Constable Zuvio 33.

The Scyk chassis ability is:

Weapon Hardpoint: You can equip 1 [cannon] , [torpedo], or [missile] upgrade.

Notice it doesn’t say anything about slots, merely just what type of upgrade(s) you’re allowed to pick from. Specifically, a missile upgrade is just any card with the [missile] icon.

So why not Barrage Rockets? Yes I know it has 2 [missile] icons on its card, but again the chassis ability only refers to Upgrade Type, not Slots

Because Barrage Rockets was designed to take two slots for a really good balance reason?

Edit: Anyway, I think all Illicits for Scum should cost between 0-2 points. Most ships need to come down 3+ points. JM5K needs to stay where it's at and FFG needs to actually fix it.

Scum needs to drop across the board. So many scum ships vanished with the last point adjustment.

Scum will see the bulk of the adjustment like Rebels last time.

Yeah, I think a lot needs help, but I’ll specifically call out the Lancer as needing some point drops across the board. A gunner slot would also be welcome, though off theme.

Energy charge shells down 1 point.

Grappling struts down 2 points.

I’ll only speak of what I’m familiar, as the only large base Scum I have is a single JM5K.

Fangs other than Joy are mostly fine. Any issues people have with Fenn’s pricing I’d rather see adjusted through raising other 5’s and 6’s.

Firespray has game. I think their main issue is faction point breaks/ how the Drea Scurgg is their primary competitive list.

Leave the Hawk pilots alone. Palob and Torkil are nasty, and can feel really bad to play against. I can see the title down a few, but I swear to god if Palob drops I am burning this mother to the ground.

All MGT but Seevor are not worth it. Foreman seems like he should be better than he is, but having them in your bullseye is much harder than simply not being in theirs.

Y’s are fine

Z’s paying for the illicit isn’t good. Also drop most illicit, especially Cybernetics

Guri is great, the others? I think this one would largely be fine as is with a general increase in 5/6’s.

Dengar is good. Don’t know what you do to the others. Their offensive output is their trouble, but a 2 die primary has value. Even at their price point it has value. But their biggest trouble is community perception, they’re better than people give credit. But the dial turned people off to the point they don’t give it a chance. There just isn’t something this ship can do that others can’t do better.

Mainly just cheapen all non-guri vipers so I can fly Xizor **********

Khirax too. Their named pilot abilities are WAY too situational to cost that much

Good idea, give the Khiraxz, HWK and Virago some love.

I think contraband cybernetics bugs me the most. For 2 points I would consider playing it.

Han gunner could see some decrease. He is strong but 12 points is a nightmare... 8 maybe or 10?

Agreed.

Han gunner is another card that clearly needs to scale by Initiave

Let's say 6 points + Initiave. So it would be twelve on Dengar (When the JM5K gets a gunner slot) but only 7 on an outer rim smuggler, and more reasonable 10 on Bossk.

Hmm, Greedo + Heightened perception on Asajj would be rather nice, but I think Hate + Dengar might be more competitive.

Bare Marauders are decent in mass.

I wonder if Maul crew will get a sml pts drop. 13pts 11pts is a lot but i guess its in line with what other factions are paying, although Palpatine seems as good better than maul and only costs 11.
