Enhanced Leader+Battle Meditation +BM control upgrade=Double Force Rating in dice?

By NanashiAnon, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Quote

When making a Leadership check, the character may add <force dice> no greater than Force rating to the check. The character may spend <pips> to add <success> or <advantage> (character’s choice) to the result.

Battle Meditation's control upgrade adds a leadership check "as part of the pool". Enhanced Leader merely gives an alternate way to spend the force die, since for most leadership checks force pips are useless. Since they're part of the force power's poll, they can still be spent on their typical use of force powers as normal.

Is this correct?

edit: Same question goes for battle meditation+influence with control upgrade

I believe you can only roll the dice once. But i think you can spend the pips on any ootion under the power?

even if there's some some way this interpretation might work under some very specific reading of the rules texts, it would still fall into the "get a writing utensil thrown at you for trying this with me" category

My thought is "your skill by the force is limited by the number of force dice you have. If somehow you can trigger two effects with force dice, you must either chose to forgo one or spilt them up. Buying two separate force powers that work in the same field doesn't mystically double your force rating." I remember being greatly annoyed by someone who had both essential kill and unleash and would basically spend about 5 solid minutes per round of combat interpretation alone. Likewise, ebb and flow combined with literally anything else could be really problematic.

We ended up introducing that limitation as a rule to knock that in the head; chose one, or the other, or spilt your dice up. You don't get to roll for both. That is my interpretation

I would say this is a hard "NO." It effectively falls under the header of "trying to take two separate Actions at the same time," which is very much not possible and not meant to be possible under the rules.

Plus, there's been a dev answer that when rolling for things that you don't get to double-dip when it comes to Force dice, with the oldest example of this sort of double-dipping antic being using Influence's Control upgrade to bolster social skills alongside the Overwhelm Emotions talent.

So in the vein of LordBritish's standing house rule, I'd say that your character has to pick one effect or the other before they roll.
