I did actually. I play primarily Rebels and Resistance. I put them away and enjoying some quality time with Echo and Vader. I pulled a Scum list out as well... but even list building bores me right now.

That's fair. I'm getting to the same point, but mainly because I can't get my friends to play 2.0 and my FLGS is flying a lot of meta rn.

my FLGS is starting to have a loss of interest in general it feels... and more and more players are declining to goto tournaments because the game just isn't fun as a competitive game anymore. It's more fun to fly janky BS than it is to fly hard meta combo wing.

Seems like all my local groups does is train for the next hyperspace. Everyone has worlds in their sights. I’m there more casually so sometimes it gets tedious

lol, our Hyperspace is this weekend and last Wednesday had 8 people, 6 of us were flying janky crud. I was really proud of my 2 Rogue Squadron E-wings and Cassian list.

Okay, so it appears that we have gotten off-topic because a lot of posts have changed the subject to the hyperspace trials as if this were a game of "telephone." So, finally, they have resumed previews with one for the Resistance Transport seen in Episode VII. I have also seen a rumor that was started on Facebook from one user (I won't name him) suggesting that these ships are already on sale at Barnes and Noble stores. Can anyone verify this as possible fact?

Okay, yeah, DarkHorse, I already checked and can verify that the rumors about X-Wing wave IV being at the Barnes and Noble website are true. They're just not yet physically available at stores (at least not near me) or on Amazon. So, anyway, if these ships are physically appearing at B&N stores (and no, 1st edition versions of certain ships here don't count), please let me know.

They are also available at physical stores. I have personally purchased ships from the B&N at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, NY, as well as the B&N at City Center in White Plains, NY.

Obviously I don’t know for sure, but my assumption is that B&N, as a retailer with so many locations, uses a different distributor than the stock slated for shipment to game stores.

I personally have not seen every ship available at B&N near me. S/F Ties, the Falcon, the Decimator and the templates are all MIA around me.

And since folks like me (who bought at B&N) keep getting flak for “abandoning” our FLGS, I still plan on getting substantial product from my local store once they are officially released. At least one more resistance transport (even if I don’t run multiples, I will take one and glue the pod to it and clip off the pod’s peg, having two pegs looks goofy) and enough N-1s to run a full list of them. Also, my FLGS treats X-Wing players like second class citizens, and they’ve shown shockingly little loyalty to long time customers over the past couple months, so...meh.

In light of all the ways to get this product, I hope we just get points in the app at the same time as the points update.

It seems clear that much of this product is sitting around waiting to be released. I know many of the ships are on sale at the B&N an hour from me in PA (not the one closest).

(EDIT: It looks like the Naboo fighter and Hyena Droid just showed up as available at my B&N this morning. I'll stop by later!)

My guess with this wave is:

A. There was a delay with part of the shipment and they're waiting on certain product to be able to release the wave all at once. I tend to think it's not this, as they've released waves without some items in the past, but maybe they're trying to avoid that this time. They may have attempted to create a more cohesive release this time and actually made it worse.

B. For some reason, they did not want a June release, either to sync better with other product releases, conventions, or some other schedule.

C. This guy is in charge of logistics:

I've picked up my Republic and Resistance needs as well, this week (yesterday) to be exact. They are in stores and in excess stock.

Not really fair to give away points so people who happened to find them/order them at B&N (mostly likely by B&N's/FFG's mistake) can play ships the majority of the players haven't accessed yet.

I guess it's possible for them to release points and make them officially able to use in tournaments after the official launch date.

I’d say just put the points out there, but quantify a “tournament legal” date. Most players don’t care they can’t use it in tournaments, they just want to play.

Have the templates shown up in stores yet. I haven't seen one way or another but I have a suspicion that there might have been an issue with those.

The templates and the SF TIE are the only things I still haven’t seen. Poked my head into the White Plains B&N on my lunch break and saw the Falcon and the Deci were available, still no templates or SF that I saw.

Okay, Father Turin, you're right. Most of the ships are now available at my nearest Barnes and Noble location, with the only remaining holdouts being the Original Trilogy Millennium Falcon and the First Order Special Forces TIE/sf Fighter. I just wish that Amazon would also hurry it up and start selling copies of the Wave IV ships.

This has definitely been a bizarre wave when it comes to release. Don't recall any weirdness like this happening before, but then again I've been playing for literally years. Probably half a decade! Good chance y forgot something.

Anyway, I'm not terribly desperate for new content. I'm fiending because it was announced and I'm an addict with the self control of a lot powderkeg, but the game's been great with the inclusion of prequel stuff.

Yep! Now I just need points to figure exactly how many more N-1s to buy, and if 1-2 more hyenas are worth it.

Hyenas are a super risky investment

if passive sensors don't work out on them, they're either DOA or just straight replacing vulture droids as energy shell carriers

(baktoids are a poor replacement for sensors. the point of sensors is to combine them with Kraken for big $ ordnance!)

Two is probably safe, however, as that's enough for 32-c + a friend.

Agreed - I think my problem is knowing the content is coming and it’s so close, yet so far.

I would be happier with the content I have if I wasn’t aware of what’s coming.

I would actually be pretty content if FFG just didn’t tell us what was coming until it was shipping to the LGS. “Hey look what is coming next week!”

Legion is even worse, because we know months of content long before it makes it. Especially now that the delays are mucking with the tempo of release.

I went ahead and ordered a Falcon and a Decimator through B & N since I didn't get one in my flgs preorder. Sold some of my 1st ed models to make space. the New Deci is beautiful. base color is a bit lighter but the detail is much sharper and the weathering and paint details are fantastic. especially on the back. the Falcon? super disappointed in it. it feels lighter and cheaper. Especially the radar dish. very flimsy looking and feeling. It appears they used the Resistance sculpt and put the original dish on it but used the new dish mount. It has the Resistance falcon's engine grates.

Anyone else getting frustrated with the lack of communication? When’s the FLGS release? When do we get points? Why is it so jumbled?
