Played agame this weekend with 2 others. I had 177 points and 4x i3 pilots and 1x i4 pilot. Opponent had 200 points and i2,i3, i5 pilots. Last opponent had 198 points and i2,i3,i5 pilots. Who moves first and does that person who goes first move all pilots?
Iniative vs movement

Might be a good idea to review the basics.
Thx,only get to play 1x every 2-3 months.
Only in the case of individual ships with the same init on both sides does first player matter when resolving the activation phase.
Who gets to be first player is up to the person with the highest bid or who wins the random decision in the case of a tie.
So in all three cases you would choose who is first player, and that player would move their i3 ships before the other player's and their i4 ships before the other player's. All lower init ships move first all higher init ships move last.
Even though I had lowest points and i3/i4 pilots, I move first then the opponent with i2 moves?

Start with the lowest Initiative Pilot, if multiple players have a pilot at the lowest Initiative then the player with the lowest points moves their pilot first, then the next player(s). Then you move to the next highest Initiative pilot, with points again being used to break ties.
Edit: Specifically for your game, it would go like this
Player 3s I2 > Player 2s I2 > Player 1s I3s > Player 3s I3 > Player 2s I3 > Player 1s I4 > Player 3s I5 > Player 2s I5

This determination of player order is not correct. The player with the lowest squad points gets to choose player order during setup and that order does not change for the remainder of the game as per the Player Order rules on page 14 of the Rules Reference (1.0.3). Typically if you have a large bid (unspent points) you are choosing not to spend those extra points because you want to have the choice of player order. Usually this is to ensure that you can choose to move second so your most maneuverable ship moves after (and can react to) all the enemy ships, but it is not unheard of to choose to move first so that you can block your opponent.
Innese is correct on the order of activation:
During the Activation Phase you move ships with the lowest initiative first, then go to the next lowest, and so on; using Player Order to break ties. (Rules Reference p3)
During the Engagement Phase the ships with highest initiative shoot first, then the next highest, and so on; again using Player Order to break ties. (Rules Reference p10)
@414taylor were you playing a three-way match or were these for two separate games? More than two players is not a format covered by the rules, but players I know still play by allowing the player with the largest bid to choose their place in the player order, then next largest bid chooses from the remaining player order spots, and so on.
