The Lobber Crew action forces you to sacrifice a unit, if possible. Can you choose to sacrifice a unit with a special ability to fulfill this requirement? For instance, if my opponent sacrifices their Lobber Crew, can I sacrifice my Flagellants and then cancel the next two damage to my capital?

You can use the Flagellants' ability in response to the Lobber Crew activation, but you will still have to sacrifice another unit (if able) when the Lobber Crew effect resolves.
