Gabos Longarms

Read all the FAQs that I can find, but still lot of questions unresolved

1. Assume that my battleline is Lagos Longarms (one creature total). Opponent battleline - Bad Penny (one creature total). I decided to fight with LLA. Can I choose bad penny with lagos longarms "before fight" ability? Will bad penny be dealt damage? Wording "rather one" confuses me.

2. Assume that my battleline is Lagos Longarms (one creature total). Opponent battleline - Bad Penny and Nexus (elusive). I decided to fight with LLA. I choose bad penny with LLA ability. Fighting with Nexus. Will bad penny be dealt damage?

3. Assume that my battleline is Lagos Longarms (one creature total). Opponent battleline - Nexus (elusive). I decided to fight with LLA. I choose nexus with LLA ability. Fighting with Nexus. Will nexus be dealt damage?

1. One creature in the battle line. Gabos chooses that creature in the before fight step and deals the damage to that creature.
2. Two creatures in the battle line, one with elusive. Gabos chooses to fight the elusive creature, dealing damage to non-elusive creature. NO damage is dealt, as you're fighting the elusive creature.
3. No damage, you're still fighting an elusive creature.

Check out Crucible Cast #7 . Brad does a pretty good job explaining how Gabos works in various scenarios
