Free markets is a Sanctum action card that gets you 1 Amber, to a maximum of 6, for every house with a card in play, excepting Sanctum....

is that cap just future proofing it against a maverick, or is there some other way to have 7 houses in two decks?

maybe for multiplayer? I think there is/will be a way to play with more than 2 players.

Mavericks still count as the house they are a part of. The card actually says "except for Sanctum" so you'd have to have all 7 houses in play to hit the 6 max in the first place.

Would be interesting for multiplayer. There's a lot of cards right now that won't work in multiplayer as worded so I'm curious how it's going to be done (but am looking forward to it).

Or you know what? Just do an explicitly multiplayer keyforge set. Randomized decks, with cards (maybe even houses) designed to work & play in multiplayer. Archon tournaments are one massive melee. Let's do it, FFG!

so what the problem?
imagine free markets maverick in Dis. One deck is dis-shadow-untamed, second is brobnar-logos-mars.
card text states except for sanctum. So, there is no sanctum between presented decks and cards from another 6 houses can be in play.

I think the issue comes from the fact that it states "(to a maximum of 6)" when there is no way for it to gain more than 6 since it also states "Except of Sanctum".

It should read: " Play : Gain 1a for each non-Sanctum house represented among cards in play."

You are still only going to gain at most 6 aember if it is a maverick and there is no Sanctum between both players.

Perhaps for future houses and multiplayer....

Just save it for the set reveal where that happens then instead of planting one card. If they keep it up, what are the odds that Free Market would even be a card they chose to reprint at that time versus a similar card that is worded better?

Perhaps it's just a small tease for a future set or game format.
