Kind of weird if R2D2 can become a Jedi .... but can't have blue abilities played on him that would allow him to use the force.
Thoughts?

That would also make ewoks jedi , would it not? But then again, there has been an ewok jedi in legends
Kinda weird that a Sith can be both a Sith and a Jedi.
While the plot looks good it does telegraph the existence of Execute Order 66 if your opponent has a Red Character in addition to the blue, so you can play around the card. In general this should limit your opponent to risking 2 maybe 3 dice at any time, because he will then just play around the card.
I think the most interesting feature is the 34 card deck size you gain.
It will be interesting to see what would happen with Ashoka and other cards that looks for Jedi or "Shared Traits" and seeing if the card gives away what it should being only 2 points because it does seem to be a worthy 3 point or even 4 point plot. It may also give Disrupt a bit of value for money, Ashoka (Brash Prodigy) would be funny with a dice or two with disrupt on 2-3 sides, more so if said dice was ambush.
Or you just play Rebel traitor and don’t have to worry about your opponent playing around anything
Do you guys think that there will be a lot of order 66 decks in meta tho?
While Rebel Traitor is still in rotation, that is going to be a dominant deck. Two traitors + blue is going to be a nasty combo. If this cycle has a great elite twelve point blue villain, it'll be even better. Right now, you'd probably run with eTalzin, but it would also be able to run just three die with Maul, Snoke or Allies Dooku. Every time you have one of the events, boom two characters' dice gone for the turn.

I don't like to think about new cards too much, because for as much as we know right now 90% of the set is unknown. So my opinion may be put under the caveat of "Subject to Change".
The cards will be played because of theme, of that I am certain, players will get out their Star Wars sound board app and hit the Palpatine cackle over and over. I expect smashed phones will ensue and a few table flips to go along with this. I also expect that if you get it and a few cards in draft you may give it a play, even if you end up with just 2 cards set aside at the start of the game that is 2 more re-rolls.
The cards may get some play because of deck synergies and strength, you do get 4/6 copies of Execute Order 66 and you are putting in red cards that don't have to follow normal deck building rules. You also have a few problems. You have the 2 point plot, so you won't have as high a starting health as without. In general disrupt ends the play as you have to have 2 resources. The plot telegraphs the events in the deck so your opponent will be able to play around the problem. Right now though, I suspect that this won't be played a lot, but people will try it out.

Yes, right up until Rebel Traitor is nerfed.
I think the dice-less decks are going to be an interesting counter.

R2's midichlorian count is off the charts. Rivals that even of Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen.
