One Note templates?

By Zeiaxar, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Does anyone have any Star Wars themed templates for organizing stuff for FFG stuff for One Note as a GM?

Something like this is what I had in mind, but if such a thing doesn't exist currently, is there anyone willing to help me figure out how to go about making it myself?

Thanks in advance.

Those are pretty cool. I would be interested in seeing something like this worked out although since most GMs utilize Oggdude's Tools I wonder if it's not redundant. Still would make it easy for tracking NPC and multiple minion groups.

Yeah you could print to onenote from oggdudes

It would take a ton of effort just to print from Oggdudes to OneNote, and Oggdudes is severely limiting in what I can do with it that I can do with OneNote. I have no intention of using Oggdudes for this reason for my GMing needs, which is why I'm asking about OneNote specifically.

Not really. Onenote has a printer emulator. So it is super easy. So all you do is create your encounters in Oggdudes GM tool. Then print that to One Note. And because One note behaves like paper in many ways and Oggdudes printouts are designed for paper it works fairly well.

Again, I have no intention of using Oggdudes for my GMing needs, which is why I'm asking. If you don't have any other suggestions, that's fine, but when I say I don't intend to use X thing, don't continue to suggest I use X thing.

Because pointing out a misconception is such a terrible thing. I get the feeling you have not actually looked into the program. No one is saying not to use Onenote. I just pointed out you can get what you are asking for by printing from oggdudes gm tools to Onenote. But i guess telling you that was a horrible thing to do.

I find it nice. Maybe I could try to help you with this if you want.

Would also be interested. I usually go from OneNote to Word to PowerPoint, would be awesome to upgrade some functionality.

i saw the D&D page, what kind of temples were you thinking of using for EotE?

I mean I want an integrated Character sheet like the site uses (I'd prefer an actual sheet like the second option, rather than the first, because appearances, but wouldn't complain too much. The SRD thing they have would also be nice, as it's an easy way to keep the rules I'll need regularly (as well as things like talent trees, and force powers) easily accessible. The templates from that site even have themes for the pages themselves that look like they're literally pages that could have come from one of the various books, which is also something I'd like to implement, but don't really know how they did it.

One thing to note is that FFG does not have an SRD, so no OneNote page could be made with that without crossing the legal line.

Without crossing the line you still can manage your character/groups/vehicle sheets and your campaigns plots/locations/NPC/PCs with such a notebook.

Having the ability to compile in your notebook the major rules you need from your book in a notebook with links between page and the Star Wars FFG fashion is nice for your personal use.

I can probably help in the design of the various sheets and a simple example campaign. I will have a look at that in the next days and update things here if I can achieve anything.

That would be awesome! I really appreciate it!

I tried some things on OneNote (check it here: https://1drv.ms/o/s!AmCDy63gQUhbg1Ea4Srexlq99c7u ). It is not easy since OneNote has very limited layout possibilities (and OneNote for Windows/OneNote online editions seems to lack A LOOOOOT of the features the guy from OP seems to be using in his blog). I tried to make a couple of page templates (Style template & NPC)

Note : I installed fonts I found in another template ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/79y4l65u5aarp4q/Force and Destiny Adventure Template - LibreOffice.zip ) on my computer. If you have not you may not see the approriate fonts and could experience layout issues.

I can open the notebook for edition by PM if anyone wants to collaborate on this.
