River-calling harp

How do you use this harp that has stats? River-calling has Spirit, and 2 options to spend a success. When does that activate? Elena's weapons tests with Wit. I know there is a cloak that has Agility, we've used with Legolas, who tests with Agility for attacks. We've been able to use that success like a normal weapon. But not sure what this harp does. If testing negate? But one option is Stun, if you're already attacked, what's the point of stun, unless it applies to the next phase?

You can "attack" with the harp. The main point is to stun, allowing you to move or interact without provoking a non-elite enemy. This is because non-elites get exhausted when stunned. You can even gain an inspiration for your troubles. Still, I generally prefer killing enemies, but it can be good if you're low on inspiration and didn't top-deck any successes I guess.

I would add that I believe even Elite enemies cannot be provoked when stunned , and also cannot counterattack. You're not going to kill every enemy. I have found this harp to be very helpful at times.

If an attack applies Stun even elite enemies cannot counterattack against that specific attack (even though they can still counterattack later against other attacks)

To clarify entirely (Alonewolf87 isn’t wrong but doesn’t spell it out quite as clearly): stun exhausts an enemy group. When an enemy group is exhausted, they are no longer provoked, and non-elite units can no longer counterattack. Elite units can counterattack while exhausted, but not against a stunning attack.

yes, elites are tricky.

If you stun an elite enemy they do not counterattack that time, and are exhausted.

If you attack an exhausted elite enemy, they will counterattack unless you stun them again (or defeat them)

The Staff is a great starting item for allowing interacts in the same space as enemies.

Ok, so if you had a Dagger and Harp, you decide whether to attack with your dagger or harp?

You decide which trait one of your weapons / items has that you want to use.

then draw cards based on that trait.

then you can use damage abilities on any weapons / items you have that have that trait

So you really want to use cards that use same stat to their damage!

agility armor, with agility weapon. Wit weapon with wit trinket that gives extra damage etc...
