I am currently living overseas in Australia, so have to live vicariously to experience the UK national championship. Any updates / intel / stats appreciated!
I will say we had some drop outs before we even begun here so it's down to four rounds. Top table at round 3 looks like Riekeen aces vs imp 2 ship at a quick glance.
Anyone have any of the lists from the grand championships? Any interesting trends?

From what I saw, it was 17-23 Rebel-Imperial.
Imperial lists mostly had at least one Imperial Star Destroyer, but I didn't see many classic 2-ship lists (usually a Gozanti snuck in as well). A few dual ISD lists, but the others had all sorts of stuff supporting them. Every Imperial ship was present. Lots of squadrons, fair assortment of commanders (Sloane, Thrawn, Jerjerrod, at least one Ozzel, some Vader). Top Imperial list was @Ginkapo's Sloane+Phantoms+Gladiators+Squall build. Next was Vadar dual Cymoons. The dual Motti ISD lists that got top 2 last year were there, but didn't do quite as well.
Rebel lists were Rieekan. Rieekan with small ship swarms, Rieekan with bombers, Rieekan with big ships. Lots of Rieekan. Overall winner was a Rieekan swarm + bombers (I think; someone will have the full list somewhere). The one game he lost was also to a Rieekan Dodonna swarm+bombers list. Other than that there were a couple of Raddus lists (woo!), at least one Madine (CR90s + Liberty), one Ackbar (dual MC80s). I think most of the squadrons appeared - maybe not Lancers. No Assault Frigate MkIIs.
Bids varied quite a lot, not sure there were any meaningful patterns there.
Apparently Advanced Gunnery was in a lot of lists. Otherwise Most Wanted, Superior Positions, Fighter Ambush, Solar Corona. The boring ones.

You forgot my Dodonna 3 x Neb B, 3 x CR90 swarm list, but to be honest, I wish I had forgotten to choose it after 3 losses. Good fun, but never going to beat an ISD.
There were a couple of Thrawn 2-ships (e.g. James I who came 12th) but generally Sloane out-performed Thrawn. I had a narrow win vs Sloane ISD+Quasar+Goz with 6 phantoms on table 2 and then @Ginkapo had a Sloane v Sloane final round vs Callum B's ISD+Demolisher list that won the Stirling regional a few months back.
Sam, last year's runner up, was doing well going into the final round and faced me on table 2. I managed to take out most of his squads early on and then his Kuat BT Avenger came in hot. I managed to grind through the 17 hull but screwed up a bit on turn 5 losing my CR90B flagship, a transport and nearly my Pelta too so only got a 7:4.
Andy, if you are watching. Some are interested in your dual cymoon list if you are happy to share.
Not only the Dual Cymoons. I'd really like to see some of the top lists. Still can't fly a pelta, but it seems to do well with the right players

Yeah, that was me (though it's "Calum" rather than "Callum" ). That was quite a game, going into the last round I'd been saying "as long as it's not @Ginkapo or @Mad Cat with their Sloane Phantoms", and of course that's just what happened!

Sure @Ginkapo and @RikkiP can help out with theirs, not sure if Andy (3rd) or Graeme (5th) are on the forums but I can get in touch with them and ask for lists. Believe Alastair (6th) is a friend of Andy's so could probably get that list too.

Another awesome Nationals event! Was great seeing all sorts of familiar faces there. Shame the numbers weren't enough to get a 5th round (I know I'm in the minority, but I really like the gruelling 5-round Swiss on the one day!), but at least that left more time to explore Birmingham's pubs!
Main event was awesome, well run though suffered the usual joy of a slightly delayed start but apart from that a smooth operation. Side events the next day were a little more questionable as the prizes on hand were missing a bunch of stuff that had been shown on Facebook in the run up to the event. Though I did hear that some time late on Saturday they actually found some of the interesting prizes, but sadly we'd all left by then!
I was counting on the grueling 5 rounds taking it's toll on the squad heavy players, sadly it was not to be.

I mean, I had an Imperial list with no ISD, just all small base ships and somehow snagged 14th, which was a nice boost after my abysmal run last year 😛 Edit: to Ben actually useful I'll see if I can grab Grame's fifth place list.

I think the odds of facing you again in a future tournament are probably fairly high so I'll need to find another way to beat you as I doubt you'll let me do that to you again! Congrats on the win. How did it play out with you and @Ginkapo? I've only seen a couple of photos but looks like it was a pretty bloody game and not the cagey fight that you normally see in a cut.

That may have been before the re-order. 13-14 and 23-24 were messed up originally because someone got their scores the wrong way around on the results slip.
