Question on force using crew and gunners

So locally we are doing a furball game. One ship, 120 pts. My question is, if I put Kanan as a crew and Ezra as a gunner on Shara or Nora in an Arc170, do both of those force points regen each round? Or is it only one each round still? It would seem both would regen each round, right? Thanks!

No, though I can see how that would make sense, actually only one regens each round.

See page 7 of the Rules Reference, particularly:

◊ During the End Phase, each ship with a Force capacity recovers only one 󲈯 regardless of the number of recurring charge symbols that appear on its upgrade cards.

thanks! Yeah, now I'm looking at Maul in the sith infiltrator with Dooku and Palpatine on board... lol.. wow .. 5 force charges... this could be very fun.

So force/charge capacity stacks, force regen does not (and charge does not cross over so no stacking regen there too).

I guess they didn't want to have 2 force being the next 2 focus tokens.

The reason they don't is that Dooku and Palpatine don't 'have' force charges themselves. Instead they increase the pilot card's force charge.

Notice they're always written as " Icon force : +1 "

It's basically the same mechanic as a shield upgrade (note that a pilot's shields can also start at zero).

A ship carrying them only has one force charge pool as a result, which can therefore only have a single '1-up' arrow on it (I don't think there's currently any way to have a non-zero force charge pool without one?).

Compare to 'normal' charge-using upgrades like lone wolf or afterburners, each of which has it's own, separate stack of Icon charge that can be spent, recharged (if it has the symbol) and tracked independently of one another.

Thanks, yeah that makes sense. So furball last night. Shara Bey in the Arc 170 with Kanan crew and Ezra was pretty darn good. I missed out in a veteran tail gunner shot twice though because i had the ezra gunner but she still hit hard every time. And Maul with Dooku and Pal was insane. lol. Was up against a rebel Solo falcon with Ezra as well which was also really good. furball tournaments are fun!

You say that, but Hate exists and cost 3pts...

This is why there is so much hate on Hate ;) . Dark side can regen Force quicker at the expense of hit points, but it allows damage mitigation later, also Haters dont have to be too picky if they have to manage their Force.

Hate and R2-D2 crew, I wonder if that could be a thing...

EDIT: Apparently it can.... crazy expensive...
